Otherwise, everyone would just be shooting everyone else who has a gun?

No wonder Americans are paranoid of everything!

It is a FACT that in the United States of America they have an Individual Right to Keep & Bear Arms, affirmed, defended, & protected by the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution.

It is a FACT that in Texas, as well as the overwhelming majority of the other 49 States, American Citizens have the Right to carry firearms, & use those firearms, deadly force, in self-defense.

You may not like those FACTS, but that's not any American Citizen's Problem, it's your own personal problem.

The established American law is firmly on the side of those Law Abiding, Gun Carrying American Citizens.

So, have all the fun you wish, today, tomorrow, the next day......enjoy your little exercise of Free Speech, or complain all you wish about American Citizen's RIGHTS, the LAWS, & the CONSTITUTION that affirms, protects, & defends those RIGHTS......you, & any other Left-Wing, Anti-Gun, Anti-Second Amendment, Anti-American in any little obscure forum can do nothing more than whinge & complain about American Gun Law & Policy......

Can you affect those Laws, Policies, & Rights?.....NO....you all have absolutely no recourse, that you can resort to, that matters in the least.....Nothing whatsoever......You can change nothing, & America's Citizens, gun carrying or not,  couldn't care less about your powerlessness.

99.999999+% of All Americans don't even know you exist.

Really?

What about the 15,000 American citizens who are killed?

Or the 30,000 who are injured?

What about the 3,000 American children who are killed or injured?

Not a problem to them?

+Sure they do, I didnt meet anyone in the US who wasnt aware Australia existed and who wasnt aware of our more restrictive gun laws. They all assumed incorrectly that the gun buyback scheme had somehow "disarmed "Australians, I made them aware that Australia has never had a history of urban gun ownership for self defence and had quite a few interesting conversations over there. I didnt find Americans as dumb as you appear but more ignorant of the facts.

your 2 statements here contradict each other, see if you can use those 2 brain cells flying around inside your head to see how. Maybe those 2 brain cells will collide and cause some type of fission and consequently some possible intelligent thought process. We live in hope.

We've already addressed this, Panther. The federal laws regulating semi-automatics only expired a few years ago - 2015, if I'm not mistaken. They'd been in place for 20 years and survived every case the NRA could throw at them.

Most US states have laws to prevent people packing heat in church, dear. This is by no means a constitutional right, along with the right to pack nukes.

Unless you're conflating the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty with your beloved constitution, like poor old Bias.

Are you?

No no, that would be illegal under Panther's constitution.

Haven't you heard of the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty?

I've read all your posts.....SadKangaroo, Brian Ross, greggerypeccary, rhino, Karnal........all of them in the past 7+ pages.

Not one American Law will be changed, modified, or even reconsidered because of any of them, now or ever .......... & I'd also be willing to bet less than 15 Americans (& I'm being extremely generous) less than 15 Americans read them as well, & if they did, no one gave them a second thought, before they went to bed tonight for a good night's sleep.

Enjoy your Free Speech in ozpolitic.com, but it seems, outside of a few pro-gunners like myself on these forums, you guys are all preachin' to the choir...........you've entertained no one but yourselves, & affected nothing but each others interests in futility!  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Do you know what the word 'amendment' means, Panther?

I'm curious.

As in Constitutional Amendment....absolutely.

Constitutional Amendments are proposed all the time. Matter-in-Fact, there have been over 11,000 proposed amendments to the United States Constitution since the US Constitution was ratified in 1788. In order for the proposed amendment to go to the States for ratification, the amendment must pass both Houses of Congress by a Super-Majority vote, 2/3rds vote, in each House. If that is successful, then it goes to the States where the People vote to ratify.  3/4ers of all the 50 States must ratify the Amendment in order for it to pass....38 States of 50.

Of well over 11,000 amendments proposed to the US Constitution in over 230+ years of American History, only 17 Amendments have passed both the Houses of Congress by a Super-Majority, & gotten the required 3/4ers of all the 50 States successfully.

Only 17 of the well over 11,000 proposals made it all the way through the process successfully.

The first 10 Amendments to the US Constitution are called the Bill of Rights........the Rights of the American People. They were all passed at the same time in 1791, the only amendments passed this way, because they were very special......they were The Bill of Rights.

No amendments have ever passed through Congress, & the States, to alter/amend/change/modify or repeal any Right of the American People.

So, in short, amending the First or Second Amendment to the US Constitution for example, would probably be more difficult than finding a bus full of hens teeth, under the recently sold Brooklyn Bridge, driven by a blind Easter Bunny......   Wink

Now why is that?

Thoughts?
