Currently under their lack of funding and equipment and management to have foreseen this disaster happening.
A management that has obviously learned that it will always be blind-sided by Politics.
Our current Rescue services are more like the Thunderbirds in need of rescue from the Military.
Can't have Mr December on the Fireries Calender looking better than Mr December from the Military Calender now.

There is a widely-reported estimate that almost half a billion (480 million) animals have been killed by the bush fires in Australia.
It's a figure that came from Prof Chris Dickman, an expert on Australian biodiversity at the University of Sydney.
