Fears of a global pandemic are on the rise.

Stock up and keep you distance from anyone.

It shows Italy's food market shelves all empty, and why not, they are now in lockdown one region at a time.

I have sort of stocked up on foodstuff that keeps for a good while, eg: tinned products, honey, dry foods such as rice, pasta, lentils etc

Can do without bread, cheese, milk, all stuff that will spoil easily over a period of months.

Everyone can add their own list for good measure if they wish  Smiley

Good scouts motto "Be prepared"  Cool

I have pretty much got the same stuff stored, I also have tinned fish, self raising flour to make damper,  long life milk and home brew beer kits,, these are essential items in order to survive this pandemic.

Home brew beer kit  Cool I can see that running short on supply once the word gets out you have that at your home, all the 'do drop ins' for a beer to ease hardship situation....but a bartering situation could take place, maybe they have chooks that lay eggs, and you can swap some beer for eggs, or they have a garden of veges, fresh veges for beer.

The possibilities are endless, bartering is a good thing in times of uncertainties.

Stock up on stuff to 'swap' for too.

No one will be coming anywhere near my place when the sh!t hits the fan and the home brew kits will be under lock and key.

Ya think?

I've always found most SNL skits to be fairly lame.

But now I know where Peccarheads Trump obsession comes from ......

He caught it off SNL coz they & Alec Baldwin have it bad.

Killing people in  Europe now, 15 dead in  Italy, all old people. Just like a bad flu. Too much hysteria over this, better off to just let it go and stick to normal routine.

Northern Italy bordering with Switzerland 😮
An elder gent complained about the panic buying with no food on shelves saying he hadn’t seen this type of panic since the war.

Did I hear right earlier somewhere, Italy didn’t restrict or ban flights coming in from China at that stage earlier in this, where other countries did?

Now they can’t find patient Zero.
Well, did I also hear correctly....their borders are guarded from people coming in but they are allowing people to leave?

Stupid government not acting swiftly enough??? .... and the people will suffer for those in charge that didn’t take charge properly?

Just so we get a perspective of size and population of Italy approx 3 times Australia’s population in land size of Victoria.
England similar.

We are spread out so what I always thought a long haul and burden by car from one state to another, could be an advantage should a serious viral situation occur here.

Well that’s maybe a little positive thinking but let’s hope our government does right by us no matter what.
Learn by trial errors of other countries.

that organisation should hang its head in shame.

No one, not even journalists from around the globe, are allowed in to do any reporting!
They get detained. It was one of discussions on ABC’s Q and A the other night.
These videos are from ordinary people of China, risking getting caught, sneaking these out. It’s like their cry for help.
How fearful it must be.
Did you see how done doors to buildings are welded shut!!!

There was an epidemiologist on ABC radio today.

The good news is they suspect severity of the illness (deaths) may be dependent on the viral load you come into contact which is why the death toll at ground zero is so high. Bad news, it going to rage through Australia.

There was an article on the ABC website yesterday quietly suggesting people not panic buy, but keep the cupboards full.

I'm actually going to stock up with enough to keep us going for a month.
