The death rate from Corona virus is 2%.

If everyone in the world gets it -
that is 7.5 billion people then 2% = 150 million.

Therefore 150 million people will die within a year.
However - the people who have had it now, have been given
powerful AIDS anti-viral drugs.
Those won't be available to everyone except
maybe high ranking politicians etc -
so the true death rate is likely to be much higher than 2%.

If the true death rate is 5% then
375 million people will die.

watching ABC news tonight it appears there is a huge Pilgrimage taking place for Muslims but Saudi Arabia has closed its borders.....creating a huge problem for Indonesia who I would imagine has the largest contingent of Muslims heading that way...with many of them trapped in 3rd world countries........

the laugh is Indonesia claims it hasnt one case of Corona virus... not one...so therefore S.Arabia should allow them entry.

At least whomever gets the virus will be well looked after in our own country. Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye .....

Maybe shopping centres will be like ghost towns up there now?
I will still go to shops and let you all know my update on what’s happening in and around the Cold n flu Gold Coast

I'm sure you've heard the expression "herding cats" or "trying to herd cats"?

Unfortunately, that's what we're dealing with now that coronavirus is loose here in Australia.

We had our chance to prevent it by closing our borders over a month ago but we've blown it. As I suspected we would.

Now I’m definitely wearing a mask!
I don’t care what I look like, and I will wear 2 at the same time!
We have heaps of them in the shed, I could sell them up on the seaside market stalls just outside Caville Avenue? Grin

On second thoughts I will avoid Caville Avenue like the plague...(pun intended!)

You'll also need some sort of airtight goggles to go with the mask. Masks alone are only helpful in preventing people who have the virus from passing it on to others.
