What on earth is going on with this obsession about stocking up on toilet paper?

I'm just going to start saving our West Australian and Sunday Times newspapers and cut them up into toilet paper sized sheets. Cool

A lot of people would probably say that's all the newspapers are really good for anyway (I tend to agree, especially lately with all their PANIC stories about coronavirus).

Hi, Lols. Yep, my 90 year old aunt (who I am concerned about regarding coronavirus, of course) remembers using cut up newspapers for toilet paper in England many years ago (probably during the war) and the outside toilets which were not a lot of fun to use at night, especially during winter over there.

But you know what Greggery, this is giving a clear indication of mentality and how people will react at times of “panic”. That mentality worries me more that whatever the situation may be to have caused it.

That's already happening.

When I was at WW earlier this morning I saw two women with trolleys full of tissues and paper towels.

So anything paper is going going gone!

Next will be office works and all their paper for printers!

I found tissues were more expensive than loo paper. And had a roll of loo paper for place of tissues. Because
1. You don’t use as much in single use when blowing nose on one small square loo paper as a big tissue uses.
2. Cheaper use when you compare costs per roll loo paper compared to tissues in box.
3. Saves cardboard paper(and trees) when using a loo roll instead of tissues in a fancy cardboard box with inks and dyes.
Otherwise the good old fashioned cotton hanky can make a fashionable cone back

I think it plainly shows how info can get misconstrued and before they know it, brings out the worst in some, the loo paper in that case above, is an excuse to fight over something.
The reason could be any item panicking about, not because it just happens to be loo paper for now.

I want to share something that absolutely broke my heart a couple nights ago, it was the night before I had a plane to catch.

I was looking up about how Wuhan tended to their stockpile of garbage while in locked up apartments. If they threw it out if their windows or what?

What came up was something else.

ALL BECAUSE OF FALSE RUMOURS people heard that the authorities were going to come in and cull pets, because they had the virus and would spread it!!!
The truth is, animals do not get it, they are safe!

And I will not post links because it’s very upsetting with photos, but people started THROWING THEIR PETS to their death out of their high rise apartment windows!!!! Cry

The photos were so very very saddening.
I bawled for an hour.
Saddest thing I have seen in a while.

That’s false fearful news that went around without Chinese people thinking clearly, all in panic mode while already living in fear.

See what happens?

And that’s where we may be headed if we don’t think reasonably.
Already showing signs with aggression just for loo paper in our own country.

So everyone can virtually stick their loo paper up their bums!
It’s not that important folks!
