Only a small fraction of even the confirmed cases need that sort of care or medication.

You're making it sound like everyone who gets it is going to die without this sort of treatment.

It's simply not true.

Washing hands helps with surfaces and removes any picked up virus from hands - Making hand face contact a lower threat. Still over 80% of the risk is airborne droplets. Likely that they are concentrated in hospitals with multiple carriers

My sister has just returned from Japan where she had a skiing holiday (lucky her). She remarked on the holes she perceived in the testing of outbound and inbound travellers to Australia. She wasn't approached but her partner was on departure from Japan: "Are you from the Diamond Princess cruise liner," Only white people were this approached and only males. Unfortunately, there were more than just white people on the cruise ship.

After landing, nothing happened. They were processed as normal through the airport. They then boarded a bus to Canberra and all through the 3.5 hour journey there was a woman who coughed constantly. She was from the US (the cougher). The US is presently experiencing standard flu pandemic. My sister has spent the last 30 years as a scientist and a Geneticist. She knows the CDC lacks the ability under Trump to keep a count of any disease in the US, be it COSVid-19 or even plain ordinary Flu. He has stripped that organisation of funds.

So, exactly what is the Government presently doing about COSVid-19? Not much it appears as far as border controls goes. A nominal question, only to a subset of possible suffers from the disease in Japan and nothing upon entry into Australia. Roll Eyes

The mother/daughter team emptied the last of the packs from the shelf well in excess of the 4 pack limit and when the other woman took one from their trolly and refused to give it back, the daughter slapped her in the face and it was on...
