But you've already chosen to believe that this is a man made weapon and I suppose nothing will change your mind, but I could suggest you take your "bat-poo" conspiracy to the Fringe where it belongs.

Why should the scientists at the:

Kusuma School of biological sciences, Indian institute of technology, New Delhi-110016, India. 2Acharya Narendra Dev College, University of Delhi, New Delhi-110019, India

lie to us?

The Paper has undergone no peer review, it's not even been published.  Biorxiv.org is a "preprint repository", which means nothing posted there has undergone peer review.

As stated in the post I highlighted, the authors (Prashant Pradhan, Ashutosh Kumar Pandey, Akhilesh Mishra, Parul Gupta, Praveen Kumar Tripathi, Manoj Balakrishnan Menon, James Gomes, Perumal Vivekanandan & Bishwajit Kundu) took the sequencing data from the amino acids of the Virus and searched through the NCBIs BLASTp database and found the scariest partial match they could find, which happened to be an HIV variant.

There are other viruses that have better matches than this variant of HIV but they're not "sexy".

You'll see this be thoroughly debunked the moment it's peer-reviewed if they ever submit it for peer review.  They don't even have any proof it's been manufactured.  They've taken an incorrect link between the two viruses and concluded that it's man-made.

There is no evidence to support that conclusion or that it even matched HIV.

But again, you've made your mind up so once the rigours of the scientific process debunk this, you'll treat it like Andrew Wakefield discredited paper on vaccinations and lean into the conspiracy that it's a cover-up or big pharma lying etc...

And so they should be .... outside a piggery? Bullshit they were on the property... they trespassed onto a feedlot & abattoir.

These businesses are not roadside.

They are f..kwits ..... the animals here are a farmers livelihood & are well treated

Animals treated well treated..??...have your ever walk through a piggery..??...they should have open days in such places, the reality would shock people as to where their meat comes from.

In a piggery is wet concrete floors and animals lie around in their manure and piss, as with battery chooks, the smell of ammonia is overpowering, as with feedlots stench is rife...no way that treatment of animals in such manner could be called humane, as with live the sheep export.

These animals have a high mortality rate, one reason because they don't have the room to move, and there is no way that anyone could say these are happy creatures, if not for antibiotics and other chemicals disease would be rife as with China.

People are in La La land because they don't see what is a happening with animal treatment or the environment. I know of people who have never been to a National Park or gone out west (NSW VIC QLD) to see the drought and still massive land clearing happening....one eg; growing lettuces on the arid Hay plains with massive dams filled from the Murrumbidgee as with cotton agribiz.

What's the point of using the binding proteins of HIV in making a bio weapon? There are far more efficient binding proteins. They are not part of the payload.

Actually given there are people of European descent that do not have the proteins that HIV can bond to, for the Chinese to use them is kida counter productive as I have never heard of Han lacking the binding protein as some percentage of Europeans do.

The way I read it it was to disable the body's immune system
just like AIDS.
That makes it a far more powerful virus.

That's why AIDS, anti-viral drugs are proving effective against it.

The reason is because of the binding proteins. Think of them as the keys to your cells. If your cells lack the "lock" for the virus' "key" the virus cannot get into the cell to reproduce. The proteins that act as the key are not the payload, merely the way in.

If they are, then yes, the virus cannot or is limited in it's ability to enter the cell and deliver the payload. Which is also why it would be a silly bio warfare agent produced by the Chinese. Han as far as I know do not have the broken "locks" to HIV a reasonable percentage of Europeans do. It would be counter productive if the intention was to wipe out other people. More Europeans would survive it. Not a good bio weapon for the Chinese to develop.

Not really - I'm not a scientist who has specialised in
virus technology.
I can go on what scientists do tell me:

https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.01.30.927871v1.full.pdf

Kusuma School of biological sciences, Indian institute of technology, New Delhi-110016, India. 2Acharya Narendra Dev College, University of Delhi, New Delhi-110019, India

Abstract:We are currently witnessing a major epidemic caused by the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019- nCoV). The evolution of 2019-nCoV remains elusive. We found 4 insertions in the spike glycoprotein (S) which are unique to the 2019-nCoV and are not present in other coronaviruses. Importantly, amino acid residues in all the 4 inserts have identity or similarity to those in the HIV-1 gp120 or HIV-1 Gag. Interestingly, despite the inserts being discontinuous on the primary amino acid sequence, 3D-modelling of the 2019-nCoV suggests that they converge to constitute the receptor binding site. The finding of 4 unique inserts in the 2019-nCoV, all of which have identity /similarity to amino acid residues in key structural proteins of HIV-1 is
unlikely to be fortuitous in nature. This work provides yet unknown insights on 2019-nCoV and sheds light on the evolution and pathogenicity of this virus with important implications for diagnosis of this virus.

OK Set.  as we continue with facts:

https://www.sbs.com.au/news/australia-to-deny-entry-to-travellers-from-mainland-...

Australia will deny entry to all travellers from mainland China
unless they’re Australian citizens,

amid growing fear surrounding the deadly coronavirus, Prime Minister Scott Morrison has announced.

While citizens, permanent residents and their immediate family, legal guardians and spouses will be excepted from the strict measures, Mr Morrison said anyone arriving from China will be required to self-isolate, as part of the stricter border approach.
