RECOMBINATION technology has been in use in molecular virology since the 1980’s. The structure of the 2019-NCoV virus genome provides a very strong clue on the likely origin of the virus.

Unlike other related coronaviruses, the 2019-nCoV virus has a unique sequence about 1,378 bp (nucleotide base pairs) long that is not found in related coronaviruses.

Looking at the phylogenetic tree recently published derived using all the full genome sequence, we see the 2019-nCoV virus does not have clear monophyletic support given the bootstrap value of 75 (Fig 1).

Very interesting point.
Could it be because of lack of medical attention due to so many being infected and the medics can’t cope with the overload?
And those that are scattered in the globe are getting more intense medical care?
And from what I heard the count is now 12 is Australia, but not human to human infection has happened here as yet.
Let’s face it, would you rather be here for medical assistance rather than in an overcrowded hospital with scores of people waiting to be attended to.
I wonder those that are dying, what age group and other medical problems they may have which might undermine their immune systems?

The heavy smoking rates in China wouldn't help. I assumed in China the virus has spread thu a large demographic of society where outside the older and infirmed have not been exposed to it....yet.
