Nothing to worry about anymore, people.

Donald Trump gave a press conference, and said that the virus is under control.

As you were.

There was an epidemiologist on ABC radio today.

The good news is they suspect severity of the illness (deaths) may be dependent on the viral load you come into contact which is why the death toll at ground zero is so high. Bad news, it going to rage through Australia.

There was an article on the ABC website yesterday quietly suggesting people not panic buy, but keep the cupboards full.

I'm actually going to stock up with enough to keep us going for a month.

Lol    Grin     Idiot.

Don't forget to watch ACA too.

Nothing to do with ACA. The following dude has a phd in toxicology and a masters in business and I have been following his videos for a month and so far he has been spot on. Put it this way are you reallky going to believe what scumo and greg c.nt tell you about what to do in these circumstances ?? Cheesy LOL

Stock up on food, if that's what makes you happy.

It's all just "reds under the bed".

Who's the idiot?

What should I do to prepare?

Experts say preparation, not panic, is what's needed now.

"We need to think about whether you have enough medication and essential foods such as canned foods, some pasta or food that can give us fibre, carbohydrate and protein for two weeks, if things were to interrupt the supply chain of food," Professor Mackay says.

"Don't forget to prepare for pets as well, with extra supplies of dried pet food and flea treatments in case there are shortages."

But he cautions against panic-buying supplies or hoarding food.

"We don't want to see empty shelves," he says.

"We have time to prepare now by just buying a few extra supplies each time we shop, and set it aside."

If you want to put your head in the sand like most aussies do and believe that Australia has some sort of invisible immunity dome to both viruses and monetary problems then be my guest Wink

This is EXACTLY what I'm doing.

each grocery shop for the next few weeks, buy an extra couple of things such as toilet paper, cleaning and feminine hygiene products, pet food, dried foods and cans that will last but still get eaten if this is all a flash in the pan. This is just in case of interruptions to supply. Truck drivers and their families get sick, too.

ye gods..

where is the WHO when this is going on?????... Angry Angry

that organisation should hang its head in shame.

No one, not even journalists from around the globe, are allowed in to do any reporting!
They get detained. It was one of discussions on ABC’s Q and A the other night.
These videos are from ordinary people of China, risking getting caught, sneaking these out. It’s like their cry for help.
How fearful it must be.
Did you see how done doors to buildings are welded shut!!!
Drastic  Undecided

then the WHO is a phoney like the UN   a toothless tiger that costs a fortune and controls nothing...

the stock market is tanking and so will the economy worldwide very shortly.....do we even want to buy something imported from China????

maybe this is the pestilence we have been promised..

FEAR is a far bigger enemy than any virus.....

Not worried about coronavirus at all.

I am, however, concerned about my superannuation retirement account which has been reduced by about $1500 over the last 2 days.

I logged in to my account Tuesday evening and changed my investment options from the "default" (low/medium risk) which I've had since setting the account up last July to "cash" (very low risk -almost the same as having a "normal" bank account).

I have been informed by my super company that it will take a few days to make the change. The money I have in this super retirement account has to last me another 4 years until I get to age pension age (67).

It can actually last me about 5 years (a year past pension age) with the amount in there right now but I will be more than annoyed if I ended up losing a substantial amount of it with the current stock market crisis.

There is only so much the markets can take.  The artificial inflation thanks to US policy, the trade wars and now this...

A lot needs to go right for things to calm down.
