Only a matter of time before someone from other countries that have not been blocked comes in with the virus and then that's how it starts. Indonesia comes to mind because it looks like they are noit even botheriung to test for it !
Didn't I hear somewhere yesterday that Australia is now going to start screening people coming into the country from a few other places instead of just China? Not sure if it's everyone or just from the places where coronavirus has spread to so far?
Once again... too little, too late.
Oh, and I also keep hearing about how coronavirus is affecting airlines' profits. Well, judging by the number of daily flights in and out of Perth Airport (I live a few km's away) it doesn't look like they're being affected too much - unless the planes are flying half empty.
Wonder how many of these people coming in have coronavirus still in the incubation period - which apparently can be longer than 14 days?
A friend just messaged me to say her daughter and family had booked a cruise from last year for next month and so far, a lot of ports have closed up to the cruise liners from Australia, eh: isle of pines etc.
Suva in Fiji is open as an alternative and another is Moreton island as a port of call.
There will be struggles with the stigma of cruises now as ports close off to the world.
The shyte starting to hit the fan.
Funny how the PM says not to panic buy and everyone is doing just that!
