Lols... it's like trying to herd cats, remember?
All it takes is one person coming into the country with the virus. Who knows how many others catch it from them during the flight?
By the time the original carrier shows symptoms, anyone else who caught it on the plane is long gone on their merry way and they're in the process of spreading it to others. Rinse and repeat.
As I said somewhere near the beginning of this marathon thread, money (airline and airport profits, tourism, etc.) are more important than peoples' health and lives these days. Same reason why people have to suffer (and many die) from the flu every year.
Carl, what concerns me is some think it’s panic or spreading false info, whereas I see it as possibilities, a what if situation, and rather than sticking the head in the sand, as some do, it’s best to do as the good scouts motto advises “be prepared”.
If a Government thought it’s all sensationalism to sell papers (as someone implied in another forum) or if our Government was saying not to panic etc do we have trust our government to do right by us by being cautious or only act when it’s too late?
I have a hunch they knew it was only time. All inbound flights were not stopped early enough, this virus has an incubation of up to 27 days.
And all masks bought out for medical and military only in Oz already?
All about “be prepared”.
