I popped up the shops yesterday arvo and a few lines were sold out.
Back today and it's back to normal apart from hand sanitiser.

Some product supply will be disrupted because their packaging comes from China.

Give it time, people will be idiots once again.

I haven't seen any of this panic buying, but people are just buying a few extra bits and bobs. Nothing wrong with that.

If we get anywhere near this I may think about taking a little precaution but some of you people need to calm your tits.

Shhhhh. It doesn't fit the narrative.

Apparently the 6pm propaganda last night said to "stock up on supplies".
Way to boost the economy.

Chanel 9 Brisbane I'm told.
I don't watch it so unable to confirm the story as 100% accurate.

Well here I am, up in the Gold Coast, I did not see anyone wearing masks at Tullamarine airport or on the plane.
I brought mine with me but didn’t wear it.
I was by a window seat with 2 empty seats beside me.
Plane wasn’t full like usual.
I only paid $69 for that flight from Melbourne to Coolangatta.

Daughter picked me up, she asks if I have hand sanitizer, I said I just went to loo and then thoroughly washed my hands and didn’t touch anything since.

We went to Runaway Bay Aldi and Coles, no panic buying and shelves are full. Plenty water and loo paper too!

Must be that old motto  “Relax.....it’s Queensland!”

Anyway, going to have a nap before going to beach then out for Japanese dinner tonight.

The traffic going to Tulla through Melbourne from the Yarra Valley was horrendous this morning! All this traffic at that time of morning? Maybe there are all catching a plane too  Grin
We left 5.30 am and eastern freeway was chockers! Congested as usual by the time we hit Alexander Parade.
I got to airport by 7.15am!
Plane left 7.45 am.
I had no luggage and had checked in online the night before, Yet still felt rushed, so it’s best to leave even earlier. Lucky I was dropped off and went through security with bell going off, took off 3 bangles, then got through okay.
Grabbed a coffee on way and drank as I went on escalators and sculled it before going through gate to board.
On plane by 7.30am.

I hate airports.

But there’s plenty food, water, drinks, bread, loo paper and ice cream too
Cool might go to Australia Fair shop centre tomorrow to check out if it’s a ghost town after that beautician was hospitalised for the virus.
And check out what Coles shelves are like there.

I'm going down to a Woolworths in the CBD in a couple of hours.

I'll see if the office workers here in Perth are panic buying or not.

I'll check out the hand sanitiser section.

Hand sanitiser was sold out, but they have a very small range anyway.

Plenty of toilet paper and water on the shelves.

No busier than usual.

I saw no signs of panic buying.

The guy behind me walked out with a full bag of stuff without paying though.

Pretty sure.

They do it all the time here.

Two WW workers saw him, but obviously couldn't do a thing.

I see it all the time in liquor stores too - they just walk in, take what they want, and then walk right out without paying.

Sometimes they even wave to the people behind the counter as they leave.

There's a Woolworths at Canberra airport.  Plenty of pork available , free of duty. Barrels are sold out though.

It's actually a very civic minded thing to stock up now so that when the virus really rips through the population you can stay home without having to go shopping every other day.

Also if you come in contact with a known carrier the Govt may order you to self quarantine. If you're stuck at home for 2 weeks, better to have a pantry full of stuff you like.

Bridget is in black after Scomo did soul-searching with her. She tends to go for full head covering now.  Her pork went viral.
