it's not a matter of wishing it on anyone. The horse has already bolted, it's spreading throughout the community and it's to late to stop it.  Chances are most people in the major cities and towns will get it. The only way you can guarantee you don't is to lock yourself up in your house for the next 6 months, not coming into contact with anyone. Either that or move to some small remote town. No family, no neighbors, no tradies, no visits to the doctors, no public transport ......no one. Most young people who get it don't even realise they have it for about ten days, if they realise at all. Many people don't show any symptoms at all.

Yes please.

This minute by minute reporting of deaths like it's the cricket score and talk show hosts making ignorant comments and the general fear pushed for nothing but views, both by the media and politicians, even medical professionals who should know better but want their time in the spotlight.

I've completely stopped watching, listening to, and viewing the news now.

Off to a car show in about 45 minutes - getting on with my life and not listening to idiots on the TV, radio, or internet.

A coronavirus-free weekend for me.

hey sad what do you think of this MOB

Quote:
The World Health Organization (WHO) called the spread of the virus "deeply concerning"

?????

I agree with them.

It is.

It's highlighted not only the weakness in our health systems and economic structures but also the people in how they will react and the woeful reactions of Governments around the world.

I guess I'll just praise Morrison so you feel better yeah?

We can just ignore what he's actually doing, putting surplus and ideology in front of his duty to the people and the economy.  None of that matters so long as we're on Scotty's side right?

exactly.

weak

cry babies.

sooks.

cowards.

and it has also highlighted the "narrow road to success'.

say you dont want to suffer any pain.
you can cower in the corner and live a life of pure coping and you wont get hurt (in the immediate future)

but say you decide to hit the gym and make yourself stronger .
thats painful man.
the more pain your muscles can endure from lifting weights, the stronger you get.
you cant get strong with out facing challenges.
the unthinking masses think that the route to a successful life is to avoid challenges and find a safe space (stay home from work and cower).

but the superior man knows that every challenge met, makes him stronger and braver.

corona virus is just another challenge to face up to, catch, fight off, build your immune system and then move forward up the narrow road.

there is no such thing as making people safer
there is only making people stronger.
make love to the pain.
love the challenge
walk the narrow road

Interesting.
I like the idea RE: zinc
This sounds feasible and needs more attentiveness to that method.
And why not!

Thanks for posting.

Yep, have to agree there. I'm off for the day as well.

Tired of all the mindless hysteria sweeping the nation at the moment. Also with the almost total lack of crisis leadership from Scotty from Marketing and his bunch of incompetent clowns.

Signing off from here. My last post on the subject. Good luck, everyone.

It seems not a huge panic situation as I travelled between Coolangatta airport and Tullamarine airport.

I only saw in the space of an hour ‘n half at Coolangatta airport, 6 people wearing masks.
In Tullamarine airport I saw only 2 people wearing masks,
I was on interstate flights only, so I can’t vouch for the international area.

No, I didn’t bother with wearing a mask.
I had it in my hand luggage. But more for assurance and only if, a dire need arise to have to wear it.
Much like anything I take when travelling, Panadol, bandaids, sanitizer wipes, eye drops, throat lozenges, etc.

Wearing a mask is pointless, unless you have the virus.  Masks will not stop you getting the virus.   Roll Eyes

Now the army has it. I wonder if China will invade while the army has the flu?

Our defence force! What a virus can do to our defence force.

As Chris Martensen says, we have ...

Case.
Case.
Case.
Cluster.
Cluster...
Boom!

Remember Oz had 25 cases for a while, no change, like a calm before a storm..... suddenly, we have 78.
It’s tripled in a short amount of time.

Seriously? If you cut funding it makes them stupid? A mask closes two mucous membrane points of infection.

Did you watch it at all?

Here is a specialist and just because it’s “YouTube” doesn’t mean it’s not real or invalid and no need to discount it because you don’t like YouTube.
There’s lots of different stuff on tv too that’s either bs or real, same with any media platform.
