Doesn't look so good when you look at closed cases, recovered/dead. CLOSED CASES 64,583 Cases which had an outcome: 60,922 (94%) Recovered / Discharged 3,661 (6%) Deaths Exactly, but it's misleading, as all the experts have warned because those numbers are only of confirmed cases, not of overall cases.
Even if you take Bobby's latest "we're doomed" info he got from 60 minutes (which is great because if you thought it was hard enough getting food and toilet paper now...) it's still only a global death rate of 0.5% to 0.9%, depending if you take 100 to 60% infection. It's still a huge number, but when you're talking 6%, that's a difference of 400+ million people. Did anyone else catch the 60 minutes segment? I haven't seen it, but from what I've ready, he's taken "Could be as high as 45 million people" to be "45 million dead minimum, we're all doomed!"... Does anyone know what they actually reported? I guess it doesn't really matter because if he interpreted it like that, the tards who fight over toilet paper would have too, or worse. The longer this goes on the more of a barometer of stupid he turned out to be There are many more confirmed cases, twice as many, but these are cases that have gone from beginning to end, they are completed cases. We will only know the true outcome when all cases are completed cases. Completed cases, I believe, give the truest prediction of the outcome if things continue as they have. Still not panicking though, no point, it won't change anything. Yes and no. There is evidence of vast number of confirmed cases having little to no symptoms, presenting like a mild cold. This means that many people are not even seeking medical attention and are going undiagnosed and recover without issue, to them. They may very well infect others. But they aren't being counted. This means that it throws off the ratio of cases vs deaths and make it look like the frequency of deaths is much higher vs infections than it truly is. This is why medical experts are warning against firstly following the daily numbers, and secondly rely on the death rate as it is not real-world accurate. Our leaders and medical infrastructures should be taking the worst possible prediction into account to help to work towards dealing with it, but us on the ground, we shouldn't be. Having people post misleading claims like 45 Million will be dead, minimum, and "we're all doomed", that's just dangerous stupidity and they should be ashamed. I cant believe your serious...I live alone like so many and I am retired if I get sick with flu like symptoms I will go to bed until I feel better from previous experience the doctor can do nothing anyway... only hypochondriacs rush to doctors with flu symptoms.... and you want our fragile health resources which are always stretched to be used for people who show signs of having a cold....omg.. mate you are getting worse......please stay home where you would at least be as safe as anyone..... get everything delivered.. its the only way to keep safe... me I went to a place that was jumping this morning full of people enjoying Canberra Day not one mask in sight...NOT ONE>.. we cant help you folks who want to believe everything thats bad......me I prefer to believe the best ....and we are certainly in the best country to weather this storm... come on sad you can do better than this. He's not saying what you think he's saying, cods. He's saying Govt and the health services should be looking at worst case scenarios to be prepared for whatever happens, every day citizens shouldn't, they can't do much except take sensible precautions. That is not telling people to rush to the doctor. oh OK... sad has been a worrywart all the same...sorry sad.
