Obviously not as 85% of people don't have any or many probs. Maybe just a slight culling of the "I want to live forever" oldies.

I don't have the BBS code but it looks to me that the forum software does not query the database on every query. It seems to rely on cached data when the thread gets big and busy. It does not happen on new or low volume threads.

I might go and look into the forum settings and see if there is anything I could ask FD to change later. It does seem like a caching issue, a performance setting perhaps. I don't have access to the DB settings though so if it's outside the forum software I won't be able to see it.

We have to put our faith in Darwinism at this time and pray the virus will not kill us all by mistake.
