And now there is a self isolation of 2 weeks anyone that comes into Australia from midnight tonight!

My son and wife are attending their friends wedding on Thursday, and the bride to be has her sister and friends coming from NZ for the wedding!
But they are not booked on a plane to get in before midnight tonight!
There was a rush booking flights to get out of NZ to Oz.

That bride to be, her sister and friends won’t be able to attend the wedding due to having to self isolate 2 weeks.

What a dilemma. This was all planned earlier to come over for the wedding.

This immediate announcement has caught a lot of people out.

And, my son’s wife, decided not to go to work this weekend to LA, because then she would have to self isolate 2 weeks on the way back!

But then she finds out one of her qantas hostesses has just been diagnosed with the virus. Qantas won’t tell them who or which flight path.

Now the rules are changing, international airline hostesses don’t have to self isolate, only the passengers.

That’s dumb.
Daughter in law said jokingly, “we don’t have to self isolate, we are exempt from catching the virus, we’re tough! We have immunity!” Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I was reading how tough the NZ government is getting, with police to check all people are isolating themselves that come into NZ.

So self isolation for 14 days doesn't apply to air crew? -

I didn't know there were exemptions.

I know Bobby, but flights are still going and coming, and air hostesses are required for work.
Here’s how the hostesses are telling it is similar to the sinking of the Titanic and they are the band that keep playing while the ship sinks.

I don't understand why it will take such a long time to get a vaccine for Covid-19 ?
I've heard 1 year to 18 months.

Every year we get a vaccine available for up to 4 different types of flu.
We are told that it's the flu that was in the Northern hemisphere over their winter
which is often only 3 to 4 months from when we are inoculated.

So why is a Covid-19 vaccine going to take up to 5 times longer?

COVID-19 is a cold-like virus, not a flu-like one.

Have you heard of a cure for the common cold?

Because even though the flu mutates we know its basic structure. Additionally we've developed the methodology with the flu to make it that fast.

We don't have either of these thigns for Covid-19

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)

... is a step in the preparation for the coming World War III, that step being the shutting down of national borders, curtailing of trade relations with potential enemy combatants, training the populace to hoard and then accept ration cards and/or make do with less, herding/stampeding of the masses into the belief that they are under imminent threat of death at any instant .... in other words, the closure of society as we know it in preparation for a massive external threat.

Corona is a dry run, so to speak.....

Now - what was that about Fifth Columns?

I was reading somewhere yesterday that they are speeding up the vaccine by not testing it on animals first. Straight to humans.

Indeed - given the theory of infalling pathogens (diseases from space) flu-related DNA strands are mutated by radiation in space and thus when they enter Earth's atmosphere are 'different' from the 'parent' virus.  Taking general precautions such as not going outside in settling weather when infalling pathogens are more prevalent, living in a windy area, and following the advice of Herr Doktor Professor Grappler in salty water use will help.

There was even an experiment on remote Scottish islands which showed that person to person infection did not occur... leaving open the question of how infection is passed around.  Then there was the issue of remote villages out of contact due to snow for months developing the 1919 flu..... nobody in or out, and yet infections were rampant.  Again - if this was the case - how are infections passed around?

... and one day they'll run up against a dead wall beyond which no vaccine will do the job.... the only time I've had a really bad flu was when I dropped the ex off at hospital and then went to pick her up a few days later.  In that time we both developed that horrible, gummy lung flu that went around two years ago, leading me to believe that bug was either in the hospital or had another source along the way.  Certain areas are just plain unhealthy, but I note that in Newcastle NSW - a serious industrial town with air you could walk on - the  lung disease hospital was on a nice, airy hill above the pollution... funny that... and the main (old) hospital was right on the seashore.

This isn't the flu, though.

That's why people are getting so confused.

COVID-19 is NOT influenza.
