not clueless at all.
south korea detected 5000 cases in under 30 yo and not a single death.
and that was the SYMPTOMATIC young people.
you could probably say that maybe another 5000 OR MORE had it so mildly that they never got tested.
so maybe 15000 young people and not a single death.
that makes it way milder then measles, chickenpox, the seasonal flu, whooping cough.
the idea that we close down schools and sports when this is SUCH A MILD DISEASE in young people is INSANE.
there will be MANY MANY more deaths due to the mental health effects of our bed wetting leaders causing young people to become even more terrified and suicidal.
absolutley gutless misguided and child abusive stuff from our leaders .
pretending they care whilst inducing a national panic to protect old farts
those old farts are mums and dads, grandparents, uncles and aunts. You might not care, but most people care about their loved ones. Just remember, Karmas a bitch
ohh, and i noticed that rather than read the article you were directed to, you opted to remain ignorant and spew out your idiotic ideology. Well done
when politicians start weeping about 95 yo's in nursing homes who might be infected , whilst scaring the crap out of young people who might hang themselves, i know whose moral compass has run off the rails
Since no young person has hung himself over carona virus, you have no rail left to run on.
Those 95yr olds have paid taxes all their lives, some have fought for this country, they helped make Australia what it is. They also vote. The day a politician ignores the seniors to the extent that they leave them to die over money is the day they'll need to start looking for another job.
have you surveyed 95 yo in nursing homes to see if they would welcome pneumonia (the old mans friend) or if they want to live another few years of incontinence, dementia and slow sad painful deterioration ?
My mother has survived 2 hospital-acquired superbugs. She doesnt want corona virus. None of her friends do either.
Spot
does she want to see the economic future of young people demolished
Is that even a question?
Sounds more like a death sentence in that sentence.
The economy has been getting worse on its own merits, house, food, fuel prices all souring and younger generation (my kids) with high priced home purchase to pay off on the never never plan.
Or the rest will rent on an increasing scale as shire rates soar as well, road reg, insurances, power, water, health insurance, etc
This whole world is based on driving us all into poverty.
So I doubt making elderly feel guilt or responsible seems out of whack somehow.
whats really best for the very elderly?
stay away from people for 2 months whilst we let the herd immunity build up rapidly
or
have to stay locked up anyway for maybe 18 months, and see the economy so disrupted by all this mayhem, that they may not get food or care in their nursing home?
remember , if they close the schools (god knows why when kids hardly get affected) about 40 % of nurses will have to stay home to look after kids.
and if they close them, when do they reopen?
months?
months of 1/2 staffing in nursing homes.
thats a really bright idea.
the best option for old people is to rip the band aid off quickly.
let the young people catch it and then we can all go back to normal in june instead of june 2021
