Not Likely.

China has way more to worry about than bringing down those countries that actually understand the 21st century.

The only thing China has to offer en-mass are slaves - Being the children of Chinese peasants who are rounded up to work in factories 18 hours a day 7 days a week.

And not just a little... The rest of the world have the tech and the nukes to put China down if it stepped into that mud puddle.

Lessee now - the Japanese tried that in 1941 - hit 'em hard and they'll come to the negotiating table and give us a free hand.

I don't think it will work...

As long as Huawei hasn't built an    'off switch'    into much of the Chinese built tech, which is found within all Western nations today.

China can only best America 'Economically' (The Silk Road Economy) and will soon surpass the hapless USA at Economics. America knows this, China knows this. They both know that America will remain top dog in Politics.
The Middle-East and North America are the true contenders in Military, not Asia (and not Europe). China's Military is just a Super-Nova - all gas and hot air with just one big bang up it's sleeve.

The military and security services won't touch that. That's why middle son has a job.

Look what the Chinese have done to Iran

The reason for covid-19 in Iran was due to thousands of Chinese workers contracted by Iran to build infrastructure

The Chinese sold contaminated baby food to their own people

China is run by psychopaths

Iran, a theocracy, did a deal with the ‘devil’ when they sided with China

Oh... the irony!!!

Though i'm sure they [China] would like to be able to achieve it,
Huawei/China tech doesn't need to be integrated into military and intelligence services within Western nations, to cause us immense problems, or to be able to cause a societal crisis [here].

If Huawei/China tech merely has a means of crippling a few key [societal] systems within Western nations, the West would be screwed [< --- thats a technical term], and would likely be, unable to respond to any aggressive/hostile Chinese action, anywhere in the world.

In todays highly tech dependent, connected Western societies, we [our society infrastructure and all major businesses, within large cities] are highly dependent upon 1/ connectivity, 2/ functioning computers systems, and 3/ the ready availability of reliable electrical power.

These few key systems are critical to the smooth 'operation' of our societies, not just to conduct commercial business, but just to ensure [to organise] the proper distribution of food supplies to a population spread throughout a country.

And to organise highly interconnected [and tech dependent] national transport systems, over many diverse and distant districts, within a nation.

If Huawei/China tech were, somehow able to 'shut down' a few key civilian computer systems, and, the computer systems which regulate our power generation,
it is possible that very little of our interconnected and interdependent tech would be 'functionally' available to us.

In todays highly tech dependent, interconnected Western societies, all of our 'systems of control' are almost exclusively 'tech driven'/controlled, and are interconnected and highly interdependent.

I’ve become paranoid about the virus –

when I go to the supermarket –
it’s almost as if I can feel & detect the disease everywhere.

Am I going insane?

How about asking instead, you feel suspicious of everyone as potentially having the c-virus to which your “fight or flight” instincts come to reason?

A friend has had respiratory problems for 2 months as it went from one different diagnosis to another.
1st Pleurisy
Then Pneumonia
Now it’s bronchitis.
(Not covid-19) just co-incidental timing!

Finally on right medication and starting to improve.

As he and his wife go to respiratory specialists, were told, to just suspect that everyone has covid-19 as a measure to keep distant and safe from people.

They have 5 grandchildren and have isolated themselves from all their family members. All phone conversations for now.

So the point I’m getting at, is to just suspect anyone and everyone.

Supermarkets have been areas of concern as shoppers congregate, and those aisles are not wide enough for the distancing rule.
One coming the other way towards you and passed you, is not 1.5 metres apart.  And if you both want to buy similar products from a shelf?

I was watching grieving videos of family members in England, talking about their mid age to elderly mothers that died from the virus.
One broken hearted son, talking about how his mother (looked to be late 50s age) went out only to supermarket, for one hour.
And that’s how she caught it.
Remember, that this virus stays on plastic and metal surfaces for days.

Re: shopping bags. Since the plastic ones get handled by check out, and his/her hands have been handling all food products handled by other shoppers, is it any wonder now they say you need to handle and pack your own? Never had a self serve check out had more appeal!

I donned the plastic bags for nylon washable bags instead.

The message, hoards of customers are going to supermarkets, continually, like an only outlet or outings.
It will be the place most likely to catch it!
Avoid as much as possible or else take extreme measures!

So Bobby, your paranoia is justified.
