Yeah, my son tells me before it even gets on the news like the one I posted last night. He works in emergency at GCUH.

I used to work for Melbourne Ambulance, as Data processor with all the reports from ambo drivers, I would know before it was news.
Some were quite tragic, would always stop me mid typing, and just feel sad.

Anyway, re: the plane situation with domestic flight from Melbourne to Gold Coast, I just told my daughter, whom will be flying from Melbourne to Gold Coast next week, to wear nose mask and glasses.
And she said she definitely will.
Now we won’t know who is infected until 14 days later.

In airplanes the air goes round and round. So just people sitting near the person tested positive does not make sense to me.
Recirculated air!
The air used to be cleaner in planes when smoking was permitted.

Carrying some alcohol wipes/handwash(above 60%) might be an idea too. Alcohol apparently kills it.

I will giver her a bottle of Spumante to drink  Smiley
She had those wipes that kill 99% germs, and hand sanitizer in gel and spray. Plus once she gets to house after getting off con x ion shuttle, she is washing all her clothes worn, and showering.
If she still should be unlucky, can’t say she didn’t try to protect herself.
I used to look at the odd random person or two wearing masks, but now it’s not so amusing and in fact more accepting to see.

Spumante? Nah. Innercircle OP Rum 75%

Minister urges scepticism as fake virus news spreads.

January 28, 2020 — 7.06pm

https://www.smh.com.au/business/companies/minister-urges-scepticism-as-fake-viru...

Communications Minister Paul Fletcher has urged Australians to be sceptical of what they read online as misinformation on the coronavirus outbreak spreads rapidly.

Claims such as where the coronavirus can be caught from, suggestions it was deliberately released and that thousands are dropping dead are forcing social media outlets such as Facebook and Google to ramp up efforts and use third-party fact-checkers to remove misleading information.

Coronavirus warning issued to Melbourne restaurant diners

https://www.skynews.com.au/details/_6128048131001

30/01/2020   3min

A man infected with the coronavirus, which has killed 170 people and infected more than 7,700 across the world, ate at a Melbourne restaurant on Australia Day — prompting authorities to issue an urgent warning.

Victoria's health department said the man started to feel unwell on January 23 and remained isolated until he visited the Glen Waverley establishment.

The Victorian Government's health website said the man tested positive for the deadly virus on January 28, and anyone who came into contact with him should contact health authorities immediately.

She would get beaten up in an Asian country for that but

Low class bogans are grots but all Chinese are filthy.  They cough with their mouths open and expectorate all over the place.

At work about 10 years ago -
a white professional Aussie person sneezed all over
a pile of clean dishes that were in a dish rack.
