Edited: And so they should be .... outside a piggery? Bullshit they were on the property... they trespassed onto a feedlot & abattoir.
These businesses are not roadside.
They are f..kwits ..... the animals here are a farmers livelihood & are well treated
Animals treated well treated..??...have your ever walk through a piggery..??...they should have open days in such places, the reality would shock people as to where their meat comes from.
In a piggery is wet concrete floors and animals lie around in their manure and piss, as with battery chooks, the smell of ammonia is overpowering, as with feedlots stench is rife...no way that treatment of animals in such manner could be called humane, as with live the sheep export.
These animals have a high mortality rate, one reason because they don't have the room to move, and there is no way that anyone could say these are happy creatures, if not for antibiotics and other chemicals disease would be rife as with China.
People are in La La land because they don't see what is a happening with animal treatment or the environment. I know of people who have never been to a National Park or gone out west (NSW VIC QLD) to see the drought and still massive land clearing happening....one eg; growing lettuces on the arid Hay plains with massive dams filled from the Murrumbidgee as with cotton agribiz.
Have I ever walked through an "intensive" piggery?
Yes many many times..... we had one on campus of the QLD Agricultural College when I attended there in 1972 & 73. I have been on many mixed dairy farms over the years who ran small free range piggeries & some with medium size piggeries.
So I'd say there's a possibility I have a tad more experience in this dept than yourself.
In fact you know f*!kall.
These misguided farm invading wankers should be prosecuted for trespass, harassment & theft.
I bet you also whinge about farmers selling bobby bull calves for veal?
