At least the laptop will last me years, not a couple of weeks like a holiday does, with nothing but a few photos to show for it. And Bridget McKenzie was a crook who got what she deserved so I agree with you on that. Regarding Labor, maybe back 20 years or so you would have a point, these days they are more interested in being politically correct, and diverting money to their benefactors, like the CFMEU etc. The only party that cares about Aussie Battlers these days is One Nation (which like ive mentioned before, I care about the battlers and the disabled too), as a lot of them deserve a lot more help than they currently get. I admit, I do like gaming, tis why I bought the MSI Titan GT76 in the first place, not a laptop on earth that is more powerful than it right now. i9-9900k, full rtx 2080, 64gb ram. When you consider the ripoff merchants Apple charge similar prices for there rubbish MacBook pro 16", is a bargain that will last me for a long time. I do a fair bit of video editing etc on it as well so it isn't just for that

Well regarding my holidays vs a laptop, its horses for courses I guess,

My wife and I both in our mid seventies do enjoy our cruises as a means to get a way from other family issues so sometimes all is not what it seems !

In a time of universal deceit — telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)

I have a Princess cruise coming up in march sailing out of Singapore for 12 days

After reading this I am starting to reconsider cancelling!

Two Australians are among 10 people who have tested positive to coronavirus on board a cruise ship which is docked in the Japanese port of Yokohama.

There were about 3,700 passengers and crew on board
Health officials were testing people who had shown symptoms such as fevers

Health checks began after an 80-year-old Hong Kong man tested positive for coronavirus

Nearly 4,000 passengers and crew on board the Diamond Princess have been put into mandatory quarantine for two weeks.

In a statement provided to the ABC, the ship's operator Princess Cruises confirmed there were a total of 223 Australians on the ship.

How typical another leftist who goes on cruises, a complete luxury, when on the hand claim they care about the oceans and the environment. Have yet to find any of them not be a complete hypocrite when it comes to the environment. I'm a right winger and you know the last time I contributed to air or ocean emissions? Back in 1999 when I travelled to Thailand. People on the right care about the environment more than leftists do, we just do it quietly, rather than talk a bunch of poo on social media on one hand, yet in practice, do the opposite  Cheesy

no one believes you don't travel because you care about the environment, not even you.

you're either to poor to travel, or decrepit ... judging by your posts, my money is on decrepit

Fair enough, wasn't aware you were at that stage in your life, makes a lot more sense to me than if you were in your 30s or 40s. You could always just do one to the Polynesian islands or even south America like chile or argentina. Lovely countries and you wont have to worry about the corona virus. Sorry about the first post I made, if I was in my 70s i'd probably consider travelling once or twice myself, just at my age I don't see much point. Anyway, hopefully you get your refund from the travel agency that booked your cruise in the first place.

Locked in a cabin for 14days = cabin fever...traveling any where in the world would be playing corona virus lotto.

Are they actually locked in?

I've never been on a cruise ship - can the doors be locked from the outside so that people can't get out?

Sounds like a breach of fire regulations to me.

What's stopping the passengers from walking out of their cabins?

I wonder how long the virus survives on surfaces such as
door knobs, light switches, bench tops -
places where you need to touch?
Does it reside inside air conditioners and then get blown around a room?
If so inside ships could remain dangerous for a long time.

Fear of catching a deadly disease? I would assume they have been asked to isolate themselves and it makes sense. The same as in Wuhan the streets are empty but people are not locked in.

I wouldn't have thought you would need to ask a question like that, but then judging by the company you keep...

Apparently forbidden to leave cabins. Some going stir crazy!
Those with balconies are lucky, those with inside cabins are saying there is no fresh air.

And, on tonight’s news, the passengers travel insurance dont cover pandemics!
Many want to cancel cruising or get refunds but are told, go in the cruise or lose the money!

If everyone else is in their cabin, who are they going to catch the virus from if someone decides to go for a stroll on the poop deck?

I heard the virus can last up to 5 days on a smooth surface.

I'd leave my cabin

I wouldn't be able to go two weeks without fresh air.

I imagine the poop deck is where you'd "air" yourself.
