Such a terrible man and somehow he accomplished what Obama couldn't or wouldn't.

Tell me, did Trump inherit two wars and a GFC as Obama did?  Roll Eyes

Someone said we could not judge a person's Aboriginality on their skin colour.  Why isn't that applied in the matter of Pascoe?  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Rock solid?

Mr Trump used to be pro-choice, anti-gun, pro-drug reform, pro-free trade, and of course, very pro-Clinton. Mr Trump was a New York liberal. The Clintons attended his wedding to Melania.

If you could provide the new criteria for rock solid, dear, it would be grand.

There you go being all logical and thinking that the world of politics revolves around logic
It doesn't
You really need to embrace that fact

The world of politics revolves around 2 things
People's emotional state
And the core personality of the candidates

Trump is certainly not rock solid like an idealogue with a rigid ideology

But he is totally rock solid in his core personal philosophies
He always project strength and power
He always buzzes off his own awesomeness
He always has self belief
He never back pedals and apologises
He is always at the cause and never at the effect
He always penetrates the world and does not allow the world to penetrate him

He always re frames things to project to the world his underlying philosophy
That the Donald is awesome

Right, so just to be clear, the Donald isn't really rock-solid on abortion, guns, drugs, being a leftard or locking Hillary up.

Anyway, they're just "logical" issues, nothing the electorate gets emotionally triggered by or anything.

No, the Donald is rock-solid on the awesomeness of the Donald, that's it. That's why he deserves four more years.

Is that right, dear?

Exactly,

He "sets the tone" for the country.

He attacks the mainstream media, the intellectual elite, Hollywood and the Washington establishment.

Not by trying to convince the electorate with boring facts, because , as William James would agree, we are too ignorant to know the facts.

What we can know is " what game can we all play that is a game people want to keep playing across time"
And "who is the best player by the rules of that game"

Clearly, the people of real America don't want to play the game of "identity politics" .

They want to play the game of small government, less PC ideology and more fun and entertainment from the " entertainer in chief "

Now you can scald them,
Or you can do what trump did.

Pay attention to the new game.
Hone your skills
And be a popular kid because you are playing a game other people want to play

Yes, but why do you think Mr Trump changed his rock-solid stance on all those things if the electorate are only interested in the Donald?

because , unlike the rigid "ideologically possessed" idealogue, trump doesnt cling onto ideas like an anally retentive pedant.

he flows like water, he is unpredictable and chaotic

thats whats entertaining.

trump could step straight into game of thrones as a character and we would all watch.

how would liz warren or sleepy joe go as a character in game of thrones?
maybe they could get a job on the set, polishing donalds boots

Hitler was square but had a go. In 1942, German military leaders did briefly investigate and consider the possibility of a cross Atlantic attack against the U.S.—most cogently expressed with the RLM's Amerika Bomber trans-Atlantic range bomber design competition, first issued in the spring of 1942—proceeded forward with only five airworthy prototype aircraft created between two of the competitors, but this plan had to be abandoned due to both the lack of staging bases in the Western Hemisphere, and Germany's own rapidly decreasing capacity to produce such aircraft as the war wore on.

Just apply the Tony Schwartz test...

Trump's statements and actions

1. will have an utter disregard for the truth and an air of a lack of conscience about that fact. Any correlation with the truth will be coincidental.
2. will be driven entirely by what he would perceive as his immediate self interest.
3. even when patently false, their repetition over time will betray his inability to ever admit that he is wrong about anything.

What a stupid ignorant OP!

Having sourced it from Schwartz himself, in one of his apologies for having degraded himself and insulted his profession by ghost-writing 'The Art of the Deal', I think he's not coming from a position of ignorance...

Schwartz has publicly confessed his sins for having had anything to do with Trump...

Self-confession 'before god and man'... Americans love that sort of thing, don't they?
