The genotypes of viruses studied at the Wuhan Lab puts paid to the theory the virus arose in that lab.

For the female dumber than Booby:

Quote:
What countries have raccoon dogs?
Raccoon dogs (also known as a 'tanuki' or a Japanese raccoon dog) aren't raccoons – they're members of the canid (dog) family. They're native to the forests of eastern Siberia, northern China, northern Vietnam, Korea and Japan.

https://www.rspca.org.uk/adviceandwelfare/pets/other/raccoondogs#:~:text=Raccoon...

These are eaten by some Chinese and are or were available from the Wuhan wet market.

This was mentioned earlier in this thread when I posted the study of all those swabs.

Like Ive said often.
Before COVID, I watched a doco about Most dangerous jobs.
I've tried to find the episode, but no luck.
It was about Chinese workers going after prized nests that reap big money for delicacy consumption.
Sadly, these caves have lots of bats and their excrement on Cave floors is where CORONA VIRUS comes from.
These workers are attired in just thongs and shorts, etc. No real PPE.
Thus many contract the CORONA virus.
Now in the Doco, there WAS A LAB (Clinic) set up not far from the caves NEAR Wuhan to treat the workers for the virus.
There were also Researchers, but they could afford proper PPE, although some still contracted the virus.
These Workers also went to the WET MARKETS in Wuhan.
#This is the connection#
The Wet Markets AT THAT TIME, were filthy and unsanitised. Discarded flesh, entrails - the works. Would lay all over the streets, hosed into gutters at most. The Markets stank, but it was like a cultural pride of toughness.
Under festering sun, the rot degenerated and add the workers taking the Corona virus to the Markets, The VIRUS IS ABLE TO MUTATE. Thus a more deadlier strain is able to find its niche and it did.
All Pandemics have evolved from some form of unhygienic circumstance.
I have no doubt the Lab/Clinic DID NOT create a deadly version, regardless of its practice to understand the Corona virus for treatment.
Especially when big FILTHY nations like China, the USA and others would find their quality of living (the Poor) becoming a very expensive accountability.
Therefore, blaming Science, Communists and a Lab for fabricating the virus is a far far less expensive 'blame' to point the finger at.

Can you see countries that have filthy living conditions that can give rise to Viruses, Pandemics, etc admit to such?
Hell no!
Blaming a lab is cost effective and dismisses their filthy living conditions as something, by Law, that they have to clean up their act.

I could add that the HAN Chinese gene pool in Wuhan is a very shallow pool, that lacks genetic variation, diversity and thus more susceptible for a Virus to easily crack the genetic code for a break and enter. A case of national inbreeding.

Like I said. This doco was a few years before 2019

Why the Pandemic Probably Started in a Lab, in 5 Key Points

By Alina Chan
Dr. Chan is a molecular biologist at the Broad Institute of M.I.T. and Harvard, and a co-author of “Viral: The Search for the Origin of Covid-19.”

June 3, 2024

This article has been updated to reflect news developments.

On Monday, Dr. Anthony Fauci returned to the halls of Congress and testified before the House subcommittee investigating the Covid-19 pandemic. He was questioned about several topics related to the government’s handling of Covid-19, including how the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, which he directed until retiring in 2022, supported risky virus work at a Chinese institute whose research may have caused the pandemic.

For more than four years, reflexive partisan politics have derailed the search for the truth about a catastrophe that has touched us all. It has been estimated that at least 25 million people around the world have died because of Covid-19, with over a million of those deaths in the United States.

Although how the pandemic started has been hotly debated, a growing volume of evidence — gleaned from public records released under the Freedom of Information Act, digital sleuthing through online databases, scientific papers analyzing the virus and its spread, and leaks from within the U.S. government — suggests that the pandemic most likely occurred because a virus escaped from a research lab in Wuhan, China. If so, it would be the most costly accident in the history of science.

Here’s what we now know:

1The SARS-like virus that caused the pandemic emerged in Wuhan, the city where the world’s foremost research lab for SARS-like viruses is located.
At the Wuhan Institute of Virology, a team of scientists had been hunting for SARS-like viruses for over a decade, led by Shi Zhengli.
Their research showed that the viruses most similar to SARS‑CoV‑2, the virus that caused the pandemic, circulate in bats that live roughly 1,000 miles away from Wuhan. Scientists from Dr. Shi’s team traveled repeatedly to Yunnan province to collect these viruses and had expanded their search to Southeast Asia. Bats in other parts of China have not been found to carry viruses that are as closely related to SARS-CoV-2.

The lab did not study or work on covid19.

This is just speculation by the NYT. It omitted the swab study too.

The virus arose at the Wuhan wet market.

And of course you know more than the New York Times?   Roll Eyes

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/new-york-times/

These media sources have a slight to moderate liberal bias.  They often publish factual information that utilizes loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by appeals to emotion or stereotypes) to favor liberal causes.  These sources are generally trustworthy for information but may require further investigation. See all Left-Center sources.

Overall, we rate the New York Times Left-Center biased based on wording and story selection that moderately favors the left.
They are considered one of the most reliable sources for news information
due to proper sourcing and well-respected journalists/editors. The failed fact checks were on Op-Eds and not straight news reporting.

But that article is just speculation, not factual.

Nothing wrong with that—speculation is all we have without facts. The article tho did not mention the swabs.

The fact is that what started out as a Fringe idea and with YouTube videos deleted about it
has now become mainstream -
and who was first on to it? -
brave sir Bobby -
capable of critical thinking.
