I have no doubt this virus was genetically engineered in the Level 4 Bio Lab in Wuhan.
I'm glad we now have a yardstick of where your posts come from.
What more evidence do we need to convince people
that it's a bio weapon?
The thing is I don't know what to believe. The "evidence" so far that it is a bioweapon is less compelling than the links they've found in the virus to coronaviruses in bats.
China's response to the virus is more easily explained Chernobyl style than because it was a weapon of some sort that had escaped.
They've dealt with pandemics before and they know how it closes borders and hurts economies. It makes more sense they were trying to cover it up and avoid that rather than protect a conspiracy.
And it's not a political spectrum thing, it's more of a common sense and logic vs ignorance thing. The scientific consensus is one thing, fear and the Internet is another.
Right now we don't know the exact origins which help the rumours spread on the Internet.
Like anti-vaxxers, people have made their minds up already jumping the gun early on and believing papers, in this case one that wasn't even submitted for review and has since been retracted and even the authors aren't standing by it, that don't hold water. But because they've been retracted or disproven that only strengthens the conspiracy as if it's proof of a cover-up.
There is currently not enough information to know and it sucks that this has started in China because it's even harder to trust what information we have from them, almost as untrustworthy as if it had come from the Trump Administration.
But just as you're both certain of what it is, I have that same level of certainty that we don't yet have enough information to know either way.
So currently, I don't know what I believe because there hasn't been enough compelling information.
It appears to be most likely that the wet market is to blame, but that is still only one hypothesis.
At this point, I would rather Governments run with that however as the most likely cause so they can push for change to prevent the conditions in these markets repeating around the world to hopefully stop something like this happening in the future. If it means populations are better fed in the process even better.
The problem with it being a bioweapon is that none of you can agree on who created it, who released it, why and how.
If you entertain the idea as being true you have to ask to what end? And because you're all making I up as you go, everyone has a different answer depending on what other conspiracies they believe.
Some believe it was Chinese made and was released by mistake from a facility in Wuhan.
Some believe it was Chinese made and was released on purpose to infect the US, tank their economy and help China in the FTA with Trump.
Some believe it was the opposite, the US trying to tank China to help Trump's FTA.
Some believe it was US-made, but by the Deep State to hurt Trump's chances in the election.
Some believe it was Russian made to help Trump win the next election.
Some believe it was US-made and released by Trump in an effort to kill Christians which has been his plan all along and Q was just a misdirect which is why he wants Churches full on Easter to spread it through their ranks.
Some believe it originated from the wet markets but has since been taken over by Q, it's a white hat operation now, the patriots are in change, to bring change in the US judicial system to bring about the storm and start the mass executions of the deep state and the cabal.
It's all just made up.
There is no real evidence to support that it's been engineered, just language used by scientists that dullards stuck at home doing "research" on the Internet don't understand and think means something else feeding into their fear and conspiratorial thinking leading them to conclude "well it must be X" when that conclusion is being made either because of a lack of information, no information, a misunderstanding of the information or lulz, and then running with that as they search for more answers, often making them up as they go.
And I understand the urge. The unknown is killing us right now, from employment/pay issues to further lockdowns. At least having some answers, having a villain we can point at to direct our hate while we're all stuck at home would be great.
At the end of the day the bioweapon idea is plausible, I'm not denying that, but Bobby, as your signature says,
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidenceThere is barely any evidence to support the claim of it being a bioweapon, let alone extraordinary.
It's ok to come to the conclusion that at this point, we just don't know. Not having the answer yet, but still looking for it, is better than having the wrong answer.
