Personally, I've always had the suspicion that SARS-CoV-2 wasn't actually created in a lab but it was a "natural" virus that was being "tinkered with" in a lab and one day someone got a little careless and took it home with them and the rest is history.

Or, it was deliberately released.

They reckon it was created in a lab for noble reasons but it escaped.
