This isn't about Bernie Sanders. It's about public policy.

No, it is about Bernie and what he stands for.

What does Bernie stand for? Pussies like Morticia cry about "Socialism" but socialism is just simply where the dollar flow - to the very top, like they do now, or to those not at the top.

How is Trump paying for his tax cuts to the 1%? By doing the very thing he promised he would not do: cuts to Social Security and Medicare. Is this what you stand for Morticia?

Poor little guy, once again crying that he isn't getting his fair share of what someone earned. If you have $200 and I have a dollar, "we" have $201, sound fair to you? When you get old enough to pay Income Tax fill it out yourself. You still don't understand the problem is that government spends too much.

Socialism definition is - any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods.

Oh my gosh, I feel so oppressed.

Oh my gosh, indeed !

Bernie Sanders can promise those objectives, TO PEOPLE WHO WANT TO BE DECEIVED....

But neither Bernie Sanders [nor any Socialist/Marxist in America] has the means or any viable method, which can fulfill those promised outcomes.

Such promises, are the stuff of fairy tales.

means = =
1 an action or system by which a result is achieved.
2 financial resources; income.       substantial resources; wealth.

Are you saying that America doesn't have the money to provide these social programmes to its citizens?

Hard work, & sacrifice is the American way to achieve prosperity & reward......providing unsustainable free-bees to people who didn't earn the right to them, by taking financial resources away from those that did, to provide it to them isn't a solution, it's a sure fire recipe to ultimate failure...... Socialism is a curse, & hopefully America.....the land I love.....will not walk away from a proven source of prosperity,  Free Market Supply & Demand Capitalism.

So, did the slave owners work hard and sacrifice for their wealth and success? Did the robber barons work hard for their success when they bought politicians and got favours from members of Congress??

You're living in a fantasy work, Panther. America is riddled with poverty and obese people. Sure, you saved our arses in World War 2 and have presided over a world without war, but at what cost to the American worker? At what cost to the American black man/woman?

...

◈ African-American unemployment has recently achieved the lowest unemployment rate since the early to mid 50's, while the overall US rate has also dropped to the lowest levels since the '29 Market Crash.

◈ Almost 4 million new jobs have been created in the last 3 years.

Oh, & I would guess that Australia is a budding land of plenty where everyone's baskets are full to the brim.......Paaaaleeeeease, I've lived here for the better part of the last 35 years mate, so peddle yer BS to  someone in a sh!t hole like Cuba or Costa Rica. There are probably more people here in Australia living from hand to mouth now than just about any time in the last 30+ years.....so peddle yer BS to someone else....

And fella, when we go into town we play "spot the skinnies", talk about obese.....when I first moved here 80% of the Aussies seemed fit, & slim, now Australia is a mass of chunkers mate.....cows all walkin' around on their hind legs.....it seems that the percentages have turned on their heads......only 20-30% of the Aussies we see here are in the fit & slim category today!

As those well-paying jobs? You can have people working for 50c per hour and claim that you've created jobs. Doesn't mean squat.

So, what's the NET GAIN in jobs? How many jobs were lost in the meantime? If you've lost 7 million jobs but have created 4 million, you're still 3 million behind.

Which proves that neo-liberalism has destroyed Australia, although not as much as the US. Ask anyone who has visited America - they'll tell you that many parts are third world.

And there is a highest percentage of obese people in America than in Australia, so what does that tell you?

We're generally protected from free market policies because we have a functioning safety net. Banking regulation protected us from the GFC. Immigration keeps us at 2 to 3% GDP growth.

To date, we've been shielded economically, but not environmentally. The environment - and our CO2 output - carries the burden of neoliberal policies. The Barrier Reef, the most important marine sanctuary in the world, is dying.

If we could transition to renewable energy, get into sustainable farming, solve Aboriginal disadvantage and raise Newstart a bit, we'd be all good. We'd have a country the world could respect.

Most European countries have done all this with lower economic growth than Australia. It's all achievable.

Bernie, by the way, is only promoting what we already have.

Correct, he is; but from an American perspective, it's very progressive. In fact, I think that America's next step is to completing scrap their Constitution and adopt a new Constitution, which I'd be happy to draft for them.

It was FDR, as you said, who extended human rights to health care, education and employment. Back in the 30s, this was possible to do.

Today? It's a totally new narrative. Not being in America, I have no idea whether it can resonate. The political instinct is absolutely NOT, but we've been wrong before.

If Bernie makes the nomination, CNN and Fox News will join forces to howl him down. All those FAKE news channels will go back to being "real" news for those on the Trump Train.
