Anyhows..... I had to pay RACV membership at Post Office today because online I couldn’t get payment through for a few days, and then their computer was down all day when I rang to pay.
So went to my local IGA store next door, and the abundant meat, fruit and veges was phenomenal!!

We will be okay. Lock down or not.
It’s all good.
I wanted a little mince meat and there was everything else but...soooo I walked to the butcher around corner and voila, mince meat!👍

Oh and at the PO they were wearing masks and gloves.

Funny thing is, none of the check out chicks and guys at supermarkets do?

If there's a lock down, you'll still be able to go to the supermarket, chemist, post office, bottle shop, etc.

It's not a case of every shop in the country closing.

Moreover, you won't be forbidden to leave your home.

If the bulk buyers and hoarders pull their heads in, everything will be fine.

There was never ever going to be a problem, but people like Gordon (filling their garages with toilet paper and baked beans) have now created one.

Don't panic, people - none of you will starve to death or go to bed with a dirty arse.

I'm taking tomorrow off work to organise essential packages for the elderly and frail in my neighbourhood.

My next door neighbour and I will be distributing toilet paper and other essential items to the people who can't get to the shops or can't afford to buy extra items.

Meanwhile, Gordon will be filling his garage with toilet paper and baked beans whilst telling his children racist jokes.

If each of those three lines are equally true, you are full of shyte and trying to signal virtue where there is none.
Anyway, why would anyone need extra items, eh? Haven't you been saying there is no need for that? That anyone that buys a few extras is a panic buying hoarder?

You should prolly scroll back a few pages and see what gordon was saying

Spot

The people bulk buying & hoarding at the expense of the vulnerable; the people not obeying social distancing; the people telling racist jokes during a crisis = all right-wingers.

Typical.

Watched the Newcastle destruction of Tigers yesterday - no crowd, but over the fence a horde of Balmainiacs gathered as one looking over the fences from backyards.

Might as well have the crowd.

Some mob of fans got a scaffolder in to erect a viewing platform so they could look into the grounds .....

not sure the scaffolding was supposed to hold as many as were on it .....

but they may have been breaking the social distancing rules anyway.  Grin

Why are Gordon and his fellow un-Australian bulk-buying hoarders buying up all the eggs now?

What's the "logic" behind that one?

Never stops ... every day a new item on the hoarder/panic buy hit list.

The chooks are gonna have a sore arse upping the production.

I heard someone from the egg board (?) this morning saying that they have to keep the chickens alive for an extra week to keep up with demand.

The panic-buyers are prolonging the suffering of innocent animals now.

Selfish bastards!   Angry

The panic buying now includes alcohol, apparently.

https://10daily.com.au/news/a200322efyol/panic-buyers-turn-to-stockpiling-grog-d...

That's better... hopefully, the stupid hoarders will drink themselves silly and pass out at home so the rest of us can go to the shops and get what we need with our regular shopping.

Hoarders like Gordon don't care, though.

As long as they have a garage full of toilet paper, baked beans, and eggs, the rest of the world can go and get buggered.

What has the world come to?   Roll Eyes

And what do these idiots think they're gonna do with all those extra eggs?

I hope people buying chooks are given instructions for their care, safety enclosures, feed etc.

When you get all these Johnny-come-lately buying farm animals with the hope of having a dozen eggs a week, may find there’s more to it than that.
I guess in a way, if people are home bound then the chook will be loved like a pet and add a bit of cheer in their lives.
And maybe a bonus egg or two as well!

People aren't buying chooks, as i understand. Unless it's panic buying carcasses in Coles.

They're buying eggs. They're keeping battery chickens alive for an extra week to keep up with the demand.

So very much about that just breaks my heart.

It was on tv Mothra the sale of live chooks at 1,000 per week, when usually it’s about 180 per week, also being bought out are those garden beds with compost and heritage seeds etc.
It was about going for self sufficiency.

I kind of like this.
More people having their own vege patches and chooks.👌
