Big family? Thirty rolls of toilet paper used in a year.

Wait. I was hasty in judging Bojack. 20 toilet rolls to last "a couple weeks"? IBS problems? Large family?

I take back what I said, Bojack.

One man, one poo a day.

I have about 6 months' supply of dunny rolls, and I didn't even panic-buy & hoard at the expense of pensioners, like Gordon et al.

Ten rolls of toilet paper. But the paper would only last 160 days at one movement a day? A roll of toilet paper per month -- 300 days. That is taking into consideration that I do use public toilets for some days.

Are the stores stocking the shelves with toilet paper and there is still a rush to get them? Because 3 weeks into this madness, people are still needing to buy more. I get the feeling that the stores have been holding back, under govt instructions to give people something to worry.

seriously unsub... Roll Eyes

its the morons that cause the PANIC BUYING>...

.what the hell has toilet paper got to so with covid-19??????...

its WEIRD!

It is either the shops not stocking up 3 times a day because of a limit. Or people are buying way too much. Either way, the need for Australians to buy so much toilet paper should have abated by now. So, why is the buy up still going? An 8-pack of toilet paper should last a family of 6 a good month. Three weeks later, we might start seeing people needing to restock. But the overbuying should have meant that toilet paper supplies could have been shipped in by truck more frequently.

I would say that perhaps there is a hold off of supplies for some other reason. I get the feeling that the government is doing more to scare the public into a reliance. Perhaps reasoning that people will forget about their troubles of politics with this distraction.

I noticed how slow shelves were being replenished. And as for instance, Coles said 5000 jobs will be available to help, and with all the now unemployed applying for jobs, the process seems slow.
My son’s wife had started last week with interviews and applications with resumes and had 3 interviews already.

It’s Thursday night and still waiting for word of application process.

I think that Coles as an example, are overwhelmed with interviews and applications waiting to be processed.

Hence why extra staff are not employed yet, to help restock shelves, then there is some training surely?

I saw yesterday, 2 young lads, in normal clothes, (not wearing woolies storeroom outfits,) being shown products, trolleys, in aisle, and they were asking questions.

So it is happening, new recruits as extra staff, for a while, maybe nighfill casual as long as needed until.....

Grin like all the old tight arses that I used to work with ..... they'd hang on to make sure they had a crap at work.

Some old batchelors would even come in to take a shower in the workshops amenities because they deliberately didn't have a hot water system at home - because it used too much power.

Mind you a lot of that went on in the days when govt. toilet paper was rubbish that was more like grease proof paper than toilet tissue. Some fools would even pinch it to take home.

It was issued to all public schools as well. That's why except for taking a piss I wouldn't use school toilets, work toilets - & especially public toilets ...

unless it's a dire emergency.

The main reason also is because they were nearly always filthy.

I bought 5 packs of 48 rolls back in November 2019 before I retired.

I gave a dozen rolls to my daughter & SIL a week ago they couldn't get any in B'berg - they have 2 young sons.

I have 2 packs left.

spot!  no paper in the loo...

give them each their own roll ...tell them not to come back before such and such a date.....make them responsible  for themselves....

for years now we have taken everything for granted...

we all have... sometimes we need a rude shock to wake us up to reality..

2 packs of 48 rolls = 96 rolls.
If there are 2 people in house, say uses approx 2 rolls per week?
That’s 48 weeks worth of loo paper.

I have 32 rolls at present, so 16 weeks worth for us.

They like bulk buying. Toilet paper doesn't have a use by date, so I don't have to buy any for a while.

In a time of universal deceit — telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)
