A woman will face court today after being charged with allegedly coughing and spitting on a police officer after telling them she was on her way to be tested for COVID-19.

Police alleged when officers from the Traffic and Highway Patrol unit tried to stop an Audi on Greenacre Rd, Greenacre on Friday evening, its driver allegedly “accelerate away at speed”.

Police allege the woman who was driving while disqualified hit speeds of at least 120km/her in a 50km.hr zone before turning left on Waterloo Rd.

“The Audi was allegedly seen disobeying a red traffic signal at the intersection of Mimosa Road before crossing unbroken lines to overtake a vehicle and turn right into Macquarie Street,” police allege.

“After allegedly failing to stop at a stop sign, the Audi turned right into Roberts Road and stopped in heavy traffic.”

Police said an officer who had been following the car approached the vehicle before speaking to the car’s 25-year-old driving.
The woman was placed under arrest, but police allege she refused to get out of the car.

“She was physically removed and handcuffed, claiming she was on her way to be tested for COVID-19 before allegedly resisting and repeatedly coughing in the officer’s face,” police said.

“The woman was escorted to the police vehicle, and as the officer reached inside, she struck her head against the vehicle window and allegedly spat at the officer.

She continued to resist despite a warning from police and was physically restrained on the ground after again spitting in the officer’s face.”

Footage of the incident was captured by witnesses in which a police officer can be heard telling her to stop.

The woman can then be heard telling the officer to let her go so she can call her lawyer.

After the woman is placed on the ground, she can be heard pleading with a bystander to help her with her hijab which had been dislodged.

The woman later taken to Bankstown Police Station where she was charged with drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, motor vehicle exceed speed more than 45 km/h, drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, and assault officer in execution of duty.

Just down to the chemist, and people are so dumb - they stand behind the line at the entry all right - but then instead of going out the exit - they just turn around and brush past you standing your distance behind them. I said to the chemist they need to make the signs IN and TOO DUMB TO READ - might work better.

The obligatory addict showed up, empty from the shoulders up etc, and went straight to the exit sign to stand and wait his turn to go in.. no idea what the people lined up at the other end were doing.. standing there for the fun of it.  Same guy looks like the guy on TV the other night assaulting an elderly couple in the street over the old guy reverse parking his car (how dare he?)  Young and big 17 yo stepped in and dropped him.. cops charged the druggo with assault.

It's a worry when that kind are out and about on what looks like day release or parole.  They don't half stick out and NIMBY thanks.

And I bet there are more ignoramuses like her who have got away with it or will get away with it.

Woman down Lake Macquarie way was fined after her second breach of self-isolation - and she was weeping about how unfair it was.  She knew the rules but chose to break them..

I haven't been eating many meat dishes lately, but you're not wrong.

I was going to do Beef Rendang this weekend, but now you've got me thinking of good old stew haha...

I much prefer this banter than our usual...  Hope we can keep it up Wink

Yes - nice to be able to buy your favourite things:

The dealers would be rubbing their hands together. They love this grand idea from our traitors in charge.
I couldn't believe it when I heard it. Absolute morons. Now I and many others in Australia pay for dead shytes to take drugs.
They would have been better off giving out free accomodation instead of cash.
I can understand if the applicant has just lost their job due to this virus but long termers...FMD!

The war on drugs is a never ending propaganda stunt designed to give the dumb arse jo blo's out there a fake confidence in their fraudulant gov. Drugs are here to stay. Get used to it.
Every time the poolice carry out a drug bust they open up a new lot of deals. Drugs will never stop. It's time Australians accepted that. Educating a drug user is like trying to turn every child into an A grade student.
Locking up a drug dealer just opens the door for another dealer to start up.

Drugs should be free. Gov makes them and gives them out for free. Take the black market away from the dead shytes. Stop people buying back yard rat sack crap...least it will be clean. Then they could record the names of users and their whereabouts. Monitor use and keep society a little safer. Drug related crime will reduce, there would be no need for theft to support the habit and being free they will kill themselves earlier and save everyone around them the pain of having to put up with their shyte.

I noticed how slow shelves were being replenished. And as for instance, Coles said 5000 jobs will be available to help, and with all the now unemployed applying for jobs, the process seems slow.
My son’s wife had started last week with interviews and applications with resumes and had 3 interviews already.

It’s Thursday night and still waiting for word of application process.

I think that Coles as an example, are overwhelmed with interviews and applications waiting to be processed.

Hence why extra staff are not employed yet, to help restock shelves, then there is some training surely?

I saw yesterday, 2 young lads, in normal clothes, (not wearing woolies storeroom outfits,) being shown products, trolleys, in aisle, and they were asking questions.

So it is happening, new recruits as extra staff, for a while, maybe nighfill casual as long as needed until.....

I think it is a matter of supply and demand. I can't shake the idea that the toiletries are being sent overseas. But, for now, I think supermarkets are doing a slightly higher supply of toilet paper stocking. But they are not going to overextend themselves by getting any more in. The panic buy should be over by next week.

Ten rolls of toilet paper. But the paper would only last 160 days at one movement a day? A roll of toilet paper per month -- 300 days. That is taking into consideration that I do use public toilets for some days.

Grin like all the old tight arses that I used to work with ..... they'd hang on to make sure they had a crap at work.

Some old batchelors would even come in to take a shower in the workshops amenities because they deliberately didn't have a hot water system at home - because it used too much power.

Mind you a lot of that went on in the days when govt. toilet paper was rubbish that was more like grease proof paper than toilet tissue. Some fools would even pinch it to take home.

It was issued to all public schools as well. That's why except for taking a piss I wouldn't use school toilets, work toilets - & especially public toilets ...

unless it's a dire emergency.

The main reason also is because they were nearly always filthy.

My bowels are fairly regular. During the summer, I drink green or black tea. During the winter months, I drink coffee. Both drinks give me the need to go for a dump within the hour of finishing -- coffee more so than tea.

Some days, I might need to go up to four times a day. On a usual day, I go at least once. However, living by myself, I could wipe my butt three times over with three sheets folded over per wipe. Yet, my toilet paper would last me a good month.

If I went to the toilet at home, it was usually followed up by a shower to make sure I am clean. So, the idea that I would use public toilets is only a last resort. Though, with wifi being free, I could probably occupy the toilet up to 20 minutes. But, I would rather make sure that I have wipe enough to not stain the undies.

I have only turned my hot water system on last week. It is working very hard and I need to only use a little turn of the hot water to get warm water. If the hot water system eats up too much power next month, I will have to get it replaced.

When I was up at Mt Archer, last year, I had to wipe down the toilet seat to see that I did not pick up any of the love bugs that the usual suspects leave behind. I wish I had thought of the sanitiser that I had in my car that I could have used. I went home and ran a bath with plenty of dettol scrub mixed in to the water to lay in. I read a few chapters of the book I had meaning to be readings. I take using public toilets very seriously.

Speaks volumes that does.

2 counts of assault for spitting in officers faces & 1 each for each time she coughed in their faces.
