Just got back from a doing a bit of shopping (NOT panic buying!!!).

The Woolworths at Belmont Forum is almost out of paper towels and toilet rolls again. Saw a couple of idiots coming out with a load of them in their trolleys as I was going in to have a look.

Didn't bother checking the Coles there because it would probably be the same. Seriously, I would be too embarrassed to walk around the shops with any amount of toilet rolls or paper towels right now. I'd need a disguise or something. Grin

Our local small IGA in Kooyong Road is also out of paper towels and toilet rolls. I was having a laugh about all this panic with the girl on the checkout and she said they won't be getting any more until next Tuesday.

I wonder if there will be people camping outside there next Monday night?  Roll Eyes

I'm just about to go to WW Enex 100 again - I'll see how things are there today.

Good old Kooyong Rd shops - I haven't been there for years.

I used to get up to mischief in that area when I was a kid   Smiley

Hi, Greg.

I came across this old photo recently - might have been taken in the 1960's, not sure as it isn't dated.

I didn't know that the Kooyong Road IGA used to be a Woolworths. From memory, it was a Supa Valu before it became an IGA.

Just imagine if they still had all glass doors and windows on the place these days - they would probably be smashed nearly every night which is obviously why they were all boarded up a long time ago.

The recent picture (in my next post) was taken by me a couple of years ago.

Well, the idiots have cleaned out the toilet paper again.

A WW worker told me they re-stocked the shelves this morning, but when I was there only one pack was left.

I asked an elderly woman in the checkout line why she was stocking up on toilet paper and paper towels, and she told me that the woman on the TV ("the news lady") told her to do it.

Effing idiots.

The old deli is an Indian restaurant now   Smiley

I'll have to take a detour and drive down Kooyong Rd on the weekend to check it out.

I'm heading out to Ascot for a car show, so i'll do it on the way back - maybe get some Indian food for dinner   Smiley

I think it's still there, haven't really paid much attention to the other shops lately to be honest (the picture was taken on June 25th 2018).

Just did a Google search for the Punjab Restaurant, says it is closed at the moment and opens at 5pm.

And for anyone who really thinks relying on supermarket home delivery is a good idea, there are currently up to 3 - 4 day waits.

My Woolies/Coles is showing 2 days. Imagine what will happen when people start actually getting sick!

Same cause of death as Monks dog? Obstructed bowelShocked

It takes a particular kind of arsehole to taunt a man about his dearly loved, recently deceased dog.

I don't think you can stoop much lower really.
Whats your opinion on someone who taunts someone about a deceased child?

I think it's an arsehole move. And i told the person who did it so.
didnt see that post.

I wasn't around at the time and it was deleted by the time i logged on.
The comment wasnt deleted, still there as far as I am aware Quote:
You were saying you wanted it shelved.
Nope, I made no complaint and still wouldnt. Mods will vouch for that, I made public my comment regarding that. I dont work that way.  i remember though,   A few will vouch for that.

Apparently you're not beyond trotting it out when it suits you though. Careful. That may just bite you on the arse.

Back on topic, have you stocked up on lentils and facon?
I'd hate to have to fight a hungry vegan for the last pack of facon.   Grin Grin Grin

You’re such a hypocrite Gordon  Roll Eyes
Reading where it went off topic was your comments towards members’ deceased dogs, nowt to do with panic buying thread of toilet paper.

And to Rhino, reading between the lines, if you have a deceased child I’m truly sorry to read that, and I’m certain Mothra would have gone into defence with any unfair crap others may have spurned towards you.
Any parent that loses a child would be one of the toughest journey to have to go through in life.
But it threw me back with the rape comment at Mothra?
There are hardly any females posting on this forum as it is?

I know people are hurting, using stuff like that isn’t a reason but excuse to demonstrate ones’ own pain that doesn’t feel acknowledged properly?
No one can see the tears behind a computer/phone screen of another person. And many won’t admit to that since a mistrust the info would be used against them in future for point scoring.

Maybe there is a reason to be here? Maybe many need distraction (which I find helps me) to help with healing?

I see some other sub forums relating to spirituality, and openness and I think, gee, are they not worried it will be used against them? i

I will go to Australia Fair to see what’s happening there since a beauty shop owner fell ill to the virus. I know the shop has been shut for a deep cleanse.
But will see what I find out.
Check out Coles there too, sticky nose at the loo paper aisles  Grin

I’m surprised tea bags are not sold out yet!
Maybe I can fill a trolley and start a panic? That’s all it would take really  Cheesy
No. I really only need a jar of coffee. Hope they are still available?
Be back later, shop, then beach. I could get used to this life up here on the Gold Coast!
