In Hong Kong, fears about a shortage is believed to be behind an armed robbery where three men allegedly stole 600 rolls of toilet paper.

Milk. Panic for milk , boost the price, help dairy farmers. You need your milk when you cough and spit germs.

Just returned from another visit to The Square Mirrabooka. Got there just before lunchtime.

As expected, Coles, Woolworths and Aldi were all out of toilet rolls and paper towels again. Saw a few people with some in their shopping trolleys - they must have got in early and had more shopping to do.

Didn't see anyone taking pictures in the empty aisles at Coles and Woolies - thank goodness for that. I might not have been able to resist making a comment or two.

The Reject Shop opposite the food court where I was having lunch had a sudden flurry of activity at about 12:30. The staff had brought out a few more boxes of toilet rolls from the back storeroom and they were all gone in less than 5 minutes. Then, the customers who missed out on the toilet rolls started buying the boxes of tissues again.

I actually went across to see what all the 'commotion' was about (I should have guessed) and I couldn't believe the look of shock/horror on a woman's face (she must have been about 70) when she was told she'd missed out on the toilet rolls.

Later on at about 2pm, I was sitting in Gloria Jean's having a drink when I suddenly saw people with shopping trolleys loaded with toilet rolls (48 rolls per pack) heading towards me. I found out a bit later that Aldi had brought some more out from the storeroom and, like The Reject Shop earlier, they were gone in less than 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, our "We're for you" socially responsible (lol) West Australian newspaper continues on its merry way today with another huge scaremongering front page headline.

God help us all...

Well, if nothing else, this "toilet paper crisis" definitely proves that the majority of people are stupid. And, more of a worry is they also vote.

Which goes a long way towards explaining why we keep getting governments like the current crop of incompetent clowns.

Salt Shortage Due To Hoarding.

Herr Doktor Professor Grappler (Grabner orig.) says gargle and  rinse hourly with warm salty water, slosh warm salty water around throat as deeply as you can handle, flush nasal passages by cupping in hands warm salted water and drawing through.. spitting out..  repeat until symptoms subside... bugs cannot get a grip if your bodily defences outnumber them... wash them out early and that's a good start.

Panic buying of salt steps in...

whats to know bobs??   what about Legionnaire ?

Legionnaires disease, also known as legionellosis, is a form of atypical pneumonia caused by any type of Legionella bacteria. Signs and symptoms include cough, shortness of breath, high fever, muscle pains, and headaches. Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea may also occur.

coronavirus

What are the symptoms this coronavirus causes?
The virus can cause pneumonia. Those who have fallen ill are reported to suffer coughs, fever and breathing difficulties. In severe cases there can be organ failure. As this is viral pneumonia, antibiotics are of no use. The antiviral drugs we have against flu will not work. Recovery depends on the strength of the immune system. Many of those who have died were already in poor health.

Hi Cods,

https://eumeswill.wordpress.com/2020/01/31/coronavirus-exposed-part-1-communist-...

Coronavirus 2019-nCoV, able to enter and infect human cells’ ACE2 receptor via its spike protein.

The official story about Coronavirus 2019 nCoV is that it “appears to have originated in the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market in Wuhan, a Chinese city about 650 miles south of Beijing that has a population of more than 11 million people.” This tale has been officially reported as early as January 9th by CCP’s state-owned and operated news channel, Xinhuanet, New-type coronavirus causes pneumonia in Wuhan: expert, reported by local Chinese authorities to the US National Library of Medicine database, Outbreak of Pneumonia of Unknown Etiology in Wuhan China: the Mystery and the Miracle and to the International Journal of Infectious Diseases database, The continuing 2019-nCoV epidemic threat of novel coronaviruses to global health — The latest 2019 novel coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, China.

Typically not included in most mainstream news stories, however, is the fact that the claimed epicenter of the outbreak is just 8.6 miles from Wuhan Institute of Virology, which houses China’s only P4-Level Biosafety Laboratory capable of storing, studying, or engineering Pathogen Level 4 microbes such as other coronaviruses, Ebola, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome, SARS, H5N1 influenza virus, Japanese encephalitis, and dengue. Bill Gurtz of the Washington Times reports, “the deadly animal virus epidemic spreading globally may have originated in a Wuhan laboratory linked to
China’s covert biological weapons program, according to an Israeli biological warfare expert.” The journalist states that an unnamed U.S. official revealed that false rumors have been circulating for weeks on the Chinese Internet claiming the new coronavirus is “part of a U.S. conspiracy to spread germ weapons” — possibly preparing propaganda outlets to counter future charges the new virus escaped from one of Wuhan’s civilian or defense research laboratories.

Indonesian police seize 60,000 stockpiled face masks

Police in Indonesia seized over 60,000 masks and apprehended two people suspected of stockpiling the goods yesterday, in two separate raids in Jakarta.

Officers have carried out several raids in the past few days on individuals who have “attempted to gain financial benefits” during the coronavirus outbreak, reported Indonesia’s state news agency Antara.

Yesterday, Indonesia’s security minister Mohammad Mahfud told journalists police would enforce “criminal law against those engaged in panic buying,” and that “the government classifies rush for and hoarding goods for the sake of profit-making into an act of economic subversion."
