Spot, if you have an elderly mum with a respiratory illnesses, you should probably be putting more thought into how to isolate her and less into imagining fanciful collusions between the liberals and big toilet paper.

Your call tho.

She is isolated and ppl can think about more than 1 thing at a time

Oh and while we may not have enough toilet paper thanks to the hoarders we do have quite a stash of n95 masks. They were given to us by the hospital last year.

But you post every day about what's not available in the shops.
To isolate her you must also isolate yourself.

You should be stocked up by now and start social distancing because by the time you hear about an outbreak in your area, it's to late.

To help them to HTFU?

Maybe...

One thing I realise is that with all the provisions we've always had (and rotate) we don't have any sort of backup power for fridges and freezeers etc and we're still not on solar...

6kw solar on the roof .... & 6kva of inverter generators in the shed. Wink

Rice & Pasta GONE.................!

Went to get some none left.

It took a while to move onto this area!
With focus on loo paper, I was surprised rice and pasta was still on shelves all this time.
Then I noticed a trend of half empty shelves in rice section. And I’m puzzled wondering, why had panic buying not thought of with other more important dried food areas such as rice and pasta till now?

Maybe I was thinking too far ahead  Grin

So let’s go our own prediction of panic trend buying to come.

I reckon all non refrigerated stuff such as (not necessarily in this order) feel free to add your own ...

Rice
Pasta
Tinned products (soups, beans, fruit, coffee etc)
Glass jar and plastic and cardboard container products (sauces, teabags etc)
Olive and other oils
Pet food (dry and packaged)
(I noticed empty shelves already with big packages dry dog food gone and also kitty litter)
Packets biscuits
Shampoos and bathroom products
Headache tablets, cold and flu lozenges, tablets, and syrup.

Not sure why batteries would be on panic buy list, I have packs of AA and AAA and takes ages to use, eg: tv remote controlled, wall clocks.

Mr. Buzzy?  Grin

Umm... nope

I don't judge people by what they eat.

You seem to have a strong reaction to it though. Bit on the triggered side, really.

You;re like that with a lot of things different to you. No wonder you're so irritable all the time.

Some here seem to be triggered by any mention of any minority or accredited victim group - must be a name for that... what a fertile field psychiatry is when you dilute meanings of words and actions so very much - broadens the field for countless new professorships and such..... design a new field of study and the world is your oyster... I remember the heady days when people could be a feminist academic... amazing stuff.....

Expansion of human knowledge, innit?

Hmm - could be a useful tool in that new field of study etc - 'the designer trigger'....

BTW - told yez ages ago that the mad cow buying was promoting a moribund economy.. start a panic and off they all go.  Won't make any difference in those big cities when they're all wiped out by the Dread Virus Corona.
