Anyone notice the 1984-like absence of terrorist activity?  The ex pointed that out this morning..

Big Brother has resolved the issues of terrorist activity.. no reference to such things will be permitted and thus the public will be saved from the genuine fear of some random violent act... All Hail BB...

Nope, but I have noticed the absence of attempted scam calls on my landline phone the past couple of weeks.

Had a massive barrage of them Saturday before last (all blocked by the Telstra Call Guardian, as usual) but it has gone quiet since then - the only one was last Thursday which was an attempted call from my own number which has happened several times in the past few weeks (added that to the list of blocked numbers..lol..).

Have the phone scammers gone into hiding now with all this virus panic happening?

Corona's got 'em....

What?

Terrorist activity is very rare anyway.

What?

No reports?  Not a sausage?  What about all those out-of-control Right Wingers?

I didn't say none, i said hardly any.

And this is true.

How often do you hear about a terrorist attack in Australia? Often enough for you to notice their absence through covid-19?

You idiot.

All of this panic buying BS probably starts with one person or a few people in a certain area who notice a shortage of a particular item in the stores.

Then, they're straight onto Facebook, Twitter, etc. with their "OMG!!! There's no toilet paper/eggs/pasta/whatever at our local store. Has anyone else noticed that?" panic messages.

And, just like a virus (worse, actually), the messages spread all around Australia and before you know it , the store shelves are emptied.

Facebook, Twitter and all of the other social media should have been shut down as "non essential services". I would consider them more of a threat to national security at this point - same as the media.

1000% agree.

They need to be shut down asap.

They've caused this problem, which otherwise would never have existed.

No no no 😔
I’m a fan of Facebook, has kept me in touch with overseas relatives in Italy and California, it’s easy and free.
Relatives in California are in their 80s and 90s and isolated, and they have the knack for using Facebook and keeps us all in touch effortlessly.

I understand there can be negatives with fb for some, but not for all.
But it’s like that with anything, both the good and not so good find a place to occupy itself amidst humans.

I recall, ages ago, when the lockdown happened in China, after some weeks, where many Chinese were not prepared with much warning of lockdown, they didn’t get a chance to ‘panic buy’.

I distinctly recall, the first complaints being at the fore from within their locked apartments, was, they ran out of toilet paper.
But within their apartments in lockdown only, not, on the whole from stockists.
Then, the frenzy started from that, as the rest of the world watched how China’s situation advanced.

We need to watch Italy now, and they did do a video weeks ago, saying they were talking to the rest of the world in our future to come.
I put up a heading in a new post about it, for anyone that wishes to see it.
So we know how it will be once we get to level 4, just like NZ has now.

Trapped like a rat on your own petard.... how sad that the endless suspicions and vilification of some more savage than I here have been fully vindicated... by your own posts.

A very sad day for OzPol .... the small saving graces of both your good self and la Peccary are all gone with the trust.... and the true vile cesspool of your personal vitriol has been exposed in your comment to me personally.  Trust once betrayed is trust gone forever..... and you are henceforth confined to the sewer outlet of Ozpol history......

Hasta la Vista.... BABY!

Truly the desperation runs deep in this one.....puerile attempt to cover up a faux pas by claiming victimhood (poor downtrodden me - I'll answer what I want!) for his/her own mistake, and then ad hom on the catcher in the lie...

Fair catch, that is... now admit it and seek absolution...

You're the one who made the mistake of responding to my post by claiming YOUR comment was the one under discussion, when it was Peccarovich's... you're the one who made the mistake ... own it.

You're the one trying to squid's ink the whole thing now by trying to say someone might be taking away your right to comment on a public forum - it's the content of your post that gave you away - nobody told you not to post or tried to curtail your right to do so.

Own your mistake and apologise to the board for years of fraudulent posting as Peccary/mothra, two discrete individuals.

You made your own cross and you put yourself on it... nothing to do with me or anyone else...

It's a public message board. It doesn;t matter who ytou address, your comment is open to anyone to respond.

Please tell me you understand upon this repeated explanation. I simply can't dumb it down for you anymore.

And all this to cover up for the fact that you claim covid-19 had cured terrorism.

Like an idiot.

DEFLECT!
