when we have Asians buying & hoarding that, & other products including medicines & tablets like Panadol, hand sanitizer, masks, baby formula(still) etc etc ........ & containerising it to try & ship it back to China as a profit making venture.

Good job the Govt. Fed Police & Police are taking a dim view of this & are now going to crack down.

That assertion isn't really backed up by the evidence

That’s why you should have a carton of long life milk handy. For times when milk runs out, or visitors pop in.
I have a pack of 6 small ones so I have milk available for my coffee if fresh milk runs out.
I hadn’t looked to see if long life milk was  panic bought.

I returned a DVD to my local IGA to that DVD kiosk (only $1 each to hire!)
We watched that true story Ford vs Ferrari. Great film.

Anyway, I love to walk and look at what’s happening in store.
Well, heaps of fruit and veges, heaps of meat and chicken.
Heaps of frozen veges too.
But no loo paper, or tissues, or paper towels.
I bought a small pack frozen baby peas.
And less people thank goodness!
Seems it’s back to normal in my local area.
Where all them extra people came from earlier I don’t know.

Don't know about anywhere else but Woolworths at Belmont Forum shopping centre had no toilet rolls or paper towels (or pasta, etc.) when I was in there just before lunchtime Wednesday.

The lady on the checkout said they were all gone by about 9am - again. I didn't bother checking Coles or Aldi because I'm sure they wouldn't have had any either (I didn't need any btw).

Dad, being a senior, got in for his buy of toilet paper last week. I told him that I was stocked until the year 2021 -- a whole 8 rolls (plus the two spare from the last packet).

Just an hour ago, I was in Stocklands Woolworths. The shelves were still bare. That is three weeks of empty shelves for toilet paper.

Got milk yesterday - plenty here.  Off to the shops for dog roll, Indian Tonic Water (quinine), and takeaway fish 'n chips.

seriously unsub... Roll Eyes

its the morons that cause the PANIC BUYING>...

.what the hell has toilet paper got to so with covid-19??????...

its WEIRD!

It is either the shops not stocking up 3 times a day because of a limit. Or people are buying way too much. Either way, the need for Australians to buy so much toilet paper should have abated by now. So, why is the buy up still going? An 8-pack of toilet paper should last a family of 6 a good month. Three weeks later, we might start seeing people needing to restock. But the overbuying should have meant that toilet paper supplies could have been shipped in by truck more frequently.

I would say that perhaps there is a hold off of supplies for some other reason. I get the feeling that the government is doing more to scare the public into a reliance. Perhaps reasoning that people will forget about their troubles of politics with this distraction.
