Yes .... that is BS.

The now new unemployed haven't received anything yet .... many are still in the farqing queue ....

& the long term get theirs doubled plus rent assist & family benefits if applicable.

That will be more than what I'm drawing from my super per fortnight after 46 years of working.

And it will possibly hold off recession.

Best thing this government has ever done.

The obligatory addict showed up, empty from the shoulders up etc, and went straight to the exit sign to stand and wait his turn to go in.. no idea what the people lined up at the other end were doing.. standing there for the fun of it.  Same guy looks like the guy on TV the other night assaulting an elderly couple in the street over the old guy reverse parking his car (how dare he?)  Young and big 17 yo stepped in and dropped him.. cops charged the druggo with assault.

It's a worry when that kind are out and about on what looks like day release or parole.  They don't half stick out and NIMBY thanks.

m,y daughter in law was here today  she has a drug addled younger brother who has done time an lives with her long suffering mum..

mum comes home during the week and he has manage to score some Ice..he cuts up her lounge takes all the stuffing out and re stuffs it with tea towels and hand towels..he then tries to cut insects out of the walls....

I suggested she ring the Mental Health dept as there seems to be no help out there for parents in this situation....in the mean time I asked where does he get the money from to buy this....and he gets govt money my thoughts went straight to this person receiving any stimulus money that anyone on centerlink is going to get..

Angry Angry Angry..

as we know we have more than our share of the drug addled?????.....are they all going to get this extra money????... does anyone know....as this poor mum of a drug addict doesnt know..

If they're on jobsearch .... he's just got a pay rise... double the dough.

Farqing madness.

Do you think they're gonna put it under their mattress?

Or maybe put it in a term deposit?

Or, do you think that money will go straight back into the community?

I'm curious.

WTF are you on about?

You calling a drug dealer "the community"

so that makes giving druggos double dole OK?

Drug dealers buy food, clothes, cars, and furniture just like the rest of us.

FFS ....you have a problem.

I don't give a farque what they buy ... their existence & support on govt(taxpayer) funds is obscene.

You're an apologist for scum.

It would be far better, go further & far cheaper  to fast track the applications of the new unemployed at the old rate with the applicable rent assists & FBP's.

Rather than doubling it for the already long term unemployed.

That's not going to help them find a job is it?

I never said anything about a stimulus package not being of an assistance.

Why blow the amount out with doubling up?

Will the new unemployed who lost their jobs due to the closures caused by strategies of tackling this virus get the doubled amount?

Might not hold it off, but it should soften the blow.

Credit where credit's due, Scotty from Marketing has done the right thing here.

Now he needs to follow it up by implementing a total, nation-wide shutdown.

To (ignorant) people like Gnads though, everyone on the dole is either a bludger, a drug addict, or a drug dealer.

They are fast tracking people, well insofar as the people can actually get through to Cetrelink in the first place.

Grin The police know who most of them are ....

you saying your rellie isn't known to police?

Most are known to health authorities & pharmacies.

Cops are an arm of govt.

Unless you have money(cash) stashed in a mattress the govt knows who you are & how much money you have ... & how & where you spend it.

And physically dangerous too.

Thank goodness the WA Premier has closed down all gun shops.

Well, that's thinking ahead.

I have lost so much faith in humanity in recent weeks, i'm expecting the bottom to fall completely out.

I mean, it didn't take much to crash a percentage of society. It's really quite amazing how easily we came unstuck.

this is what worries me about my d.i.ls  brother...when I ask about his money situation she doesnt know anything...maybe there should be an open line where parents  or anyone can let a place like centerlink know these addicts   and that goes for the gamblers as well....should not receive any extra money direct.....

I cant think of any other way to stop them getting it....
