People are smacking idiots.

IF Scotty from Marketing puts the nation in total lock-down, supermarkets, bottle shops, chemists, and petrol stations will all still be open.

We'll all be able to go to the shops and buy whatever we need (as long as the Gordons of the world stop panic-buying & hoarding at the expense of pensioners).

Everyone needs to take a giant smacking chill pill.

Unfortunately tins of human quality mackerel are
exactly the right type of food which is great for
a long term shutdown when even if the power fails
people will still have something nice & nutritious to eat.
We should not be wasting those tins on animals when we may need them.

When, or if, a long-term shutdown is announced, the supermarkets will still be open.

There is NO need to bulk-buy and hoard.

Funny thing is, i keep reading on here posters complaining about the hoarding and in the very next sentence assuring us of how much toilet paper they've managed to procure.

No surprises.

Yes well think about the pet animals - dogs & cats that are being dumped & surrendered because the same sort of numpties that have gone munyuk panic buying think they can get the virus off their pets ........

or they think they won't have enough to feed them.

Those people should never had had pets in the first place.

Indeed.

The Gordons of the world have created a problem that was never going to eventuate.

Bastards!   Angry

I actually saw toilet paper on the shelf the last time I was in Aldi, but I didn't buy any; I have 8 rolls already.

Is any of that actually happening?

Or are you just imagining another group of people to be furious at?

Hoarding is as hoarding does, sah... when there have been endless shortages caused by hoarders, you can't blame ordinary mentally well folk for grabbing a few extras...  I'm off for another case of beer - Justin.. Justin Case...

I scored a 36 pack weeks ago - household of four and two dogs - one not toilet trained yet but I'm working on it - and still going well.  Cool

Panic hoarding should be carefully differentiated from despair hoarding created by panic hoarding... you social science types should be right on top of that one.....

Haven't heard that one, but given the rampant stupidity of the 'human' race - wouldn't doubt it for one second.  We've got the ex's daughter's two dogs here at the moment - they are a pain, but are being taught that dogs live outside all day and only sleep inside at night when it's cool or wet, and they do NOT piss and poo on the carpets.  Spending their whole day like Fat Steve is no good for them when they've got a whole garden to explore out there and even got a waterfront walk yesterday, complete with a jog.

Imagining is as imagining does, sah.... who would have expected the Spanish Inquisition aggressively questioning everyone?
