Went into Woolworths at Maddington Central on the way back from Gosnells yesterday afternoon.

The toilet paper shelves were completely empty as I expected. I was standing there in the aisle when an announcement came over the speakers that more toilet rolls were now available.

I thought "gotta get out of this aisle before I get crushed in the stampede" so I went to the back of the store and saw a lady (one of the staff) with a couple of boxes of toilet rolls on the floor outside the storeroom and she also had a security guard with her. Shocked

It looked like I was the first one to get there (although I did see others heading towards us). The lady asked if I wanted a pack and I said "Actually, no... but thanks anyway".

I said "I bet that's the first time you've heard someone say that in the past week". The lady and the security guard with her laughed.

Yes, and the stockpile needs to be confiscated and redistributed to struggling pensioners and single parents, etc.

Yep.

This has proven to me what I've always suspected of Australians: they're greedy, self-centred morons.

Whether the photo is real or not doesn't really matter.

I've seen it with my own eyes.

People ARE stockpiling toilet paper, for no reason whatsoever.

Unless, as someone suggested, they're sending it overseas.

Someone needs to step in before it gets out of hand and pensioners end up not being able to get food.

The Governor General is needed at times like these - it's time for Scotty From Marketing to be given his marching orders; he's not up to the job.

If he, and his incompetent government remain in power, things could get very, very bad for all of us.

He needs to make severe draconian, Federal legislation
against hoarders and make it retrospective.

In WW2 people like that were put against a wall and shot.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with you.

If he doesn't nip it in the bud now, things will get real bad.

From memory, I've posted this link in another thread about a year ago.

Seems even more appropriate for ScoMo today.

President Skroob (Mel Brooks) and Colonel Sandurz (George Wyner). From the movie Spaceballs.

Just change "President" to "Prime Minister".

Quote:
Sandurz, you've gotta help me, I don't know what to do. I can't make decisions. I'm a President Prime Minister.

Yep, that's our ScoMo.

They are enemies of the people.
Their selfish attitude or the fact that they
are trying to create misery and then profit from it
at a time of crisis is an example of the worst type of person.
We don't need this scum in our society.

Although, at this stage, it's just toilet paper these people really are the scum of the earth.

The worst of the worst.
