Some will talk of extortion about loo paper, on the radio before, a woman was trying to get on her flight either from or to Miami, her booked flight was $1200 one way, for some reason that flight was cancelled, her next flight the price, one way, was $4000 !
Now that’s desperate, don’t know if she took the flight or not.

And on the radio, a ship in our port is refused disembarking passengers. So they are stuck there.
But some Americans, probably from a flight or another cruise liner were found to be wandering around having a good time instead of self isolation.

All this told on the radio.

I don’t have links. But I wonder, is the government going to fine them to make an example??? To show the seriousness of what self isolating means??

Woman told me yesterday she got a text from her daughter who works in the Telstra shop in Hervey Bay .. saying this bloke walked in there yesterday said he had just arrived back in the country from Sth Africa & needed credits for his phone.

She was livid(the daughter) & her mother said she doesn't swear .... but she texted " he should f*#k off & get the f*#k out of her store.

This typical of the dickheads in the world ... he should have been in self isolation & he can buy phone credits online.

saw an Aussie being interviewed in London after Scomo called for all Aussies to return home ASAP, and after they'd spent hours lining up at the airport trying to buy tickets to come home, they were told it would cost them $13 000 one way, London to Sydney.

I felt sorry for the airlines when this started thinking many will go bust. But if they're going to gauge honest customers caught up in the middle of this sheat storm, then they deserve to go bust.

The manager of a regional supermarket has taken the unprecedented step of vowing to only serve locals, by employing security to check IDs of customers walking through the doors.

It comes after reports of busloads of Melburnians flocking to regional towns and clearing the shelves.

Joanne Bodsworth, the owner and manager of Riddells Creek Foodworks, said customers will need to show ID to prove they live locally before shopping at the store.

“We’ve put security on our front door and we are only taking in people who live in a radius of 12 kilometres around Riddells Creek,” she said.

Staff had noticed a number of unfamiliar people stocking up in store.

Ms Bodsworth said it was important to look after locals and she’d never seen anything like it.

Nothing to apply for here.

so drive to Byron, or tweed, or even Ballina. Don't look for excuses.

None in Byron, Ballina or Casino either, no car to drive to Tweed so haven't looked there. If there ever were 5000 put on they must have been in the big cities. Here where I know people that work at Coles, current staff are talking up the nightfill jobs.  Perhaps you think they do FIFO for nightfill.

Are you saying Gordon is a GREENS/Socialist voters/supporter?

He's bulk-buying and hoarding, at the expense of the vulnerable people who need those products.

You do know that, don't you?

He's actually one of the worst offenders.

Just rang my local butcher to check if I could get some mince .....

they're rationing everything ..... I have an order for 1kg of mince for tomorrow.

They are having problems with the suppliers & logistics.

We have plenty of everything they said(govt & retailers) ... we won't run out.

BS .... supply & logistics have failed under pressure.

Lucky it's not a military conflict ......... it would be turn the clock back 80 yrs ... war time rationing.

Mind you ... a few more weeks & that's just what it maybe like.

Some serious thought into restarting industries in Australia should be had if we are to learn anything from this.

We produce enough food in Australia to feed three times the population we have.

Don't panic.
