Reply #946 - Mar 21^st, 2020 at 8:16am Got down early at Coles - there were about 100 people in a queue. We all got a pack of dunny rolls and I got a large pack! There was plenty of fruit and veges and I actually managed to get a piece of rump steak and some sausages! That's a nice way to start the day. I feel like I've won a lottery.

The TV news said that Coles & Woolies have done the equivalent
sales of 3 Xmas's in a row in the last 3 weeks.

It's correct. And there's been panic hoarding of electricity with shortages for a week.

Harvey Norman freezers all have this:

Good man - we've already got the ex's daughter and daughter here.... and two dogs and now one bird after The Great Escape. This morning in the queue I spoke about the people who can't get out to the shops easily - not trying to make 'em all feel guilty or nuffin... Wink

Some are sympathetic, but I KNOW every time I go to the shops, the same faces are showing... I only bought an 8 roll of toilie paper for the sake of it... when the door opened the first aisle full was the toilet paper, while I got some cheese and taco mix and spaghetti ....

Yep, just my word and the word of the little old lady next door (who struggles to walk long distances) who needed toilet paper and paracetamol but couldn't get any at Woolworths.
