Australia three wickets down and all well past the half century and settled in for a long innings... each of the three was going for a century but missed by that much!

First wicket - 78
Second wicket - 95
Third wicket - 82......... and Australia is 3 for 253 at the tea break.....................

Disclaimer......I'm not laughing at the deaths snowflakes.
Grapps has put it into a language most of us would understand. For those that don't....Australia is doing alright in the top order....be interesting to see how the allrounders and bowlers end up.

Data for today, provided by Johns Hopkins University.

Italy            confirmed infected...      10149            dead....      631      = 6.21%

death rate = 6.21%

That is quite high, i believe.

How many unconfirmed infected?

Given that the symptoms are very mild in most cases I would suggest that there is a much larger group of unconfirmed infected.

So your 6.21% death rate is incorrect and alarmist nonsense

Italy isn't Iran, and Italy isn't China.

I have a lot more confidence in the numbers coming out of Italy, than those other two.

But maybe that confidence is misplaced.

Time will tell.

They can only report on confirmed cases, but when people use that to calculate death rates everything you've said need to be kept in mind.

I'll keep it in mind that we do not know, what we do not know.

And that we can not know, what we do not yet know.

And that we can only know what we do know.

But in the meantime, there are some known known's.....

Earlier today.....

Data for today, provided by Johns Hopkins University.

Italy            confirmed infected...      10149            dead....      631      = 6.21%

Which confirms a KNOWN death rate of 6.21% [based upon the calculation, of known known's.]

The estimate is 45 million people dead as a minimum.

45 million people dead refers to a 1% death rate
from 7.5 billion people with a 60% rate of
them contracting the virus.

A 3.4% death rate equals 153 million people dead.

bobby,

The earth [we], need a good pestilence to kill off a few billion humans.

At 7.5 billion, there are far too many people on this planet [typically, seen to be fighting for toilet rolls, in Supermarket aisles, and such],
and not nearly enough SNOW LEOPARDS [about 2,000 left, by some estimates].

I'm rooting for a COVID-19 death rate of around 6.21%.           Tongue
