Scumo delays ban because of HillSucks Church !!

Check it out. What a c.nt. Has no regard for the health of the general population. Does not understand science at all !! Do we really want this f.ckwitt running Australia at the moment ?

Why's he waiting until Monday? Speculation Scott Morrison didn't ban gatherings of more than 500 this weekend because of huge Hillsong conference and his NRL team's game

Scott Morrison announced a ban on mass public gatherings starting on Monday
Government will ban gatherings of more than 500 people due to coronavirus
Many speculate it's because Morrison wants to watch Cronulla Sharks play
Others suggest it's because there is a major Hillsong conference over weekend
Coronavirus symptoms: what are they and should you see a doctor?[/highlight]

Scott Morrison's decision to ban mass gatherings has sparked accusations that the Prime Minister delayed the change until Monday to allow a Hillsong conference in Sydney and an NRL game featuring his favourite team to go ahead this weekend.

Mr Morrison announced the government would ban 'non essential' public gatherings of more than 500 people from Monday.

The government is making the decision in the wake of growing evidence that the coronavirus pandemic is spreading throughout the community.

Mr Morrison insisted he would still be attending the Cronulla Sharks game against the South Sydney Rabbitohs on Saturday. 'It might be the last game (I get) to go to for a long time,' he said.

A spokesman from Mr Morrison's office defended the decision, saying the ban on gatherings was 'not actually necessary yet, but will be going forward'.

'It's very precautionary,' the spokesman said, adding the decision was based on the advice of all the chief medical officers to allow the federal government time to formulate protocols and guidelines.

The decision to introduce the ban from Monday was agreed upon by the Prime Minister, as well as state and territory leaders based on advice from Australia's chief medical officer Brendan Murphy.

'There's no immediacy about this, but we need to get ahead of the curve and so the recommendation was Monday and the Premiers and the Prime Minister agreed with that,' Mr Murphy said.

'It wouldn't have mattered if they'd made a decision one or two days either side. It was felt that that was a reasonable time to progress.'

Some have questioned Mr Morrison's motives for delaying the ban until Monday.

'The Morrison government has been advised by medical experts to ban public gatherings of more than 500 people. And will probably do so... as soon as the Hillsong Church's Colour Conference 2020 concludes in Sydney this Sunday!' a person tweeted.

'A journalist needs to come straight out and ask Morrison if his reluctance to stop large gatherings is related to the big Hillsong Church gathering with people from all over the world attending. Why only stop gatherings larger than 500 people Chief Medical Officer?' another said.

Scumo is going to pray the virus away Cheesy LOL

ScoMo was a bad choice for PM.
Shame that Shorten was even worse and basically threw in the towel - too long in opposition.

Sums up Australia's choices in Politics.
No wonder more Independents are popping up.

Australians are sick of being hit around like a Ping-Pong ball between the ALP & NLP.

But you gotta be in it to win it in Australia and ScoMo's religious Dictatorship and USA backing guarrantee's he will always get away with it. That's why he always smirks.

To be fair a ban with no notice would have been a bad decision....With catering and events booked it was justified to give the weekend notice!!!

The Grand Pricks was banned on the day it was to open. You either take it serious or risk making it worse. With exponential growth in cases, two days is a lot !! Seems to be a lot of priorities given to to short term monetary events at the expense of the long term health of the nation Sad

The Grand Pricks runs for the whole weekend and a team member was infected with the Corona virus....Perhaps that is why it was called off???

LOL

yes those chief medical officers that were 1 month too late in calling a pandemic Cheesy LOL

BTW I hope you get the virus and then you can ask those chief medical officers for advice on what to do next. Maybe they will tell you to go to HillSucks church and pray to make the virus go away. But don't ignore the offering plate and make sure you don't forget to write down the expiry date on your credit card when making a donation. Money and prayers are very important in fighting a virus Cheesy  LOL

You can only call a pandemic when it occurs. Prior to that it is a potential pandemic. Wink

NZ's tough measures are also effective from Sunday midnight, ie Monday. Is St Jaci in ScoMo's pay and under Brian Houston's spell,  mong?
All such measures are done with a few day's notice.
