I couldn't fit anymore writing in that post.
I wanted to say, very sorry to hear what you went through Jasin, that's scary, and not a healthy dirty way to live at all.
It was not a natural occurance, it was done by humans, that?

Two years ago, I went to Rainbow Serpent Festival, 20,000 people attended.
(It was cancelled in January because of the bush fires, and now cancelled next month because of the virus!)

The toilets were them porta loos, and would fill up so quickly, and made me sick to walk past them, let alone use them.

They tried something "natural" without using any sawdust like the year before.
It was rife!
I hardly ate because I didn't want to go use those loos!  Shocked

Can you imagine 40 plus degrees and the stench?

We all complained, and my friend is very vocal, she truly did put in her complaint (we had the children with us also).
They learnt, not to do that again, and use the sawdust after the use of the portable loos.

But...when the loo cleaners came around with them trucks and pipes, to suck up all the shytle....OMG the stench in the air, I was dry retching!
Wrapped my hippy headscarf around my nose instead!
How can those guys stand that job, doing that day in and day out.
How tough they are I thought, I could never do it...no amount of money... Grin
Wouldn't they get sick?

You are right in that it is better for a kid to experience dirt, etc than those poor kids locked away in those 'Bubbles' that prevent a robust growth towards adulthood.

During the Great Plague: People lived in 'filthy' conditions of never washing or changing their 'rag' clothing. Nostrodamus had to tell them to "Burn their Clothes and have a bloody Wash!". The Plague ended abruptly after that and he didn't have expensive Research Facilities to tell the people that. Roll Eyes
Most Australians are not like that and now I'm sure many already clean kids are being scrubbed to death by their OCD parents out of fear and panic.

Yes - I'm pretty sure those Kenny's draining the Port-a-Loos would get a 'gastro-bug' for a few days after such a high impact concentration of faecal/urine bacterial particles in the air around them.

Would have loved to go to such a Festival.
But that Sanitary Logistical Set-up was quite... shyte to be honest.

You can tell a Town and its people - by the quality of its Public Toilets. It's a simple rule around the world.
