If someone refuses to follow the regulations - for instance a request to go home - officers can give them an on-the-spot fine of £60, reduced to £30 if paid within 14 days. If they keep breaking the law, more fines can be given - up to a maximum of £960.

Police could ultimately charge someone with the more serious criminal offence of breaching coronavirus regulations and a direction to follow them. This could lead to a conviction in a magistrates court and an unlimited fine."

From someone I know on social media.

Having seen the huge number of Brazo backpackers out in full force in Manly just now (I went for a quick walk down at the beach after work), not giving a crap, I have decided they are the lowest life form, with complete and utter disregard and disrespect for anyone but themselves. And of course, as soon as someone called the cops to report them, those scumbags of course did the runner, despite numerous people asking them to break it up and move on beforehand, only to be met with laughs and sniggers. Shame we can’t send those backpacking arseholes back to Brazil.

You may have found your calling, dear. Breaking up and moving on the tinted races is nothing to snigger at. It's a most honourable role to play. The old boy suggested we do it with the Muselman. FD's been trying to do it with the Boongs.
