Easter
Apr 6th, 2020 at 10:36am

How many arseholes are going to ignore the advice to stay home and not go away on holiday this Easter?

I predict there'll still be  a mass exodus from Perth to Mandurah/Bunbury/Busselton this Friday.

Thankfully, they can't go to Esperance.

"The Premier also officially announced a ban on travelling to the south coast town of Esperance, except for essential travel."

Telling Western Australians NOT to go south for the Easter weekend is like telling gun nuts they can't go hunting.

I predict trouble this weekend.

I don't believe they can go from Perth to Bunbury or Busselton either? They're outside the Perth/Peel region.

But, as Greg says, I'm sure many will try anyway.

Some of those people live for the annual trip south at Easter.

It's the highlight of their year.

I can't see them obeying the rules.

The cops should put in road blocks at Baldivis and Rockingham, and send them all home.

Lots of fines will be handed out this weekend, I'm sure.

https://www.wa.gov.au/organisation/department-of-the-premier-and-cabinet/covid-1...

The police will be no doubt hearing excuses like "Oh, I didn't know" and "That's not fair".

Just like the idiots who refused to stay inside when they were supposed to be in self quarantine.

The only way some people learn is by being hit in the hip pocket with hefty fines. And, that doesn't even work for some.

We learnt along time ago never to go away on holidays at Easter.
I thought most holiday destinations etc. were closed.
Around brisbane they are.

A lot of the popular camping spots on the Fraser Coast, Rainbow Beach, Double Island Point to Noosa Nth Shore have had access roads blocked.

But we'll see if that stops them.

Reckon the coppers will be out in all those areas over the break.

Gee Pecca makes Perthese people sound like they would scurry over the hills to get away at Easter, even though all the roads out have experienced land-slides and are blocked.
Can see the Police and their Dogs out scouring the ranges chasing Perthese migrating to their Holiday destinations.

Hope they're using concrete barriers to stop people driving south for Easter here in WA.

In Queensland, they were using water filled barriers until this started happening:

Some people will just refuse to do the right thing, even if its for their own (and, everyone else's) good.

The good news is, the Easter road toll will be right down this year.
