A couple of interesting posts there rhino and North
From my perspective and I try to look at things based on evolution
Having core confidence is really important
A man who has core confidence is more attractive to women
And a woman needs a fairly high degree of core confidence to bring a child into the world
now does it really matter if that core confidence is based 100-m anchored into bedrock
Or can people cheat and achieve this core confidence through a mind hack
again a lot of this probably place back into an evolutionary desire not to waste precious time
And so we are always trying to get to the goal line
Without doing the proper work
This is true for all sides
Greta could have gone and done a PhD in environmental science
And really understood electricity generation and electrical engineering
And then she could have spoken with core confidence
Or she can just magically manifest core confidence
It's lazier and it's probably cheating but it's still works in terms of brain chemicals
Trump could have hit the books and studied virology at night
He could have been up till 2 in the morning reading scientific journals
Or he can just jump in front of a camera and act super confident
And the fact that he is not sleep-deprived from all that study
Probably works in his favour
I think the lefty intellectual elite
As rhino said
They don't really want to do the hard intellectual work
That say even doing a Google search would involve
Because they have confidence in their PC ideology
And if they shook that
Then that's a hell of a lot of work that they have to do
Then there are the people who gain core confidence from a religious belief
I saw a video of a woman who was not socially distancing in America
who said she had nothing to fear as she was bathed in jesus' blood
I'm sure that the same phenomenon of confidence would be protecting many members of ISIS.
Most people fall into the above categories
Failure is the norm
Garbage is the default
A rare group of people transcend the paradigm
There are a few truly great people out there
People have really did bounce out of bed
And really do get the confidence hormones
The right way
I would put people like Bill gates and Steve Jobs in that category
People who really had to grind it out to get to the top
It's interesting that they have quite large collections of haters

There is a guy called Jared diamond who is worth looking into
I think from memory as well as being a best-selling author
On the civil war
On evolution
On the industrial Revolution
He also has a PhD in Latin
Is a world expert on South American pottery
Does pilgrimages to the New Guinea Highlands to study rare birds
Is the head of the geography department at Harvard university
And is the world's leading expert on gallbladder physiology
If people really bounce out of bed and really push themselves it's amazing what they can achieve
If people bounce out of bed with no plan
It's amazing how many days weeks months and years
They can spend in a fog of pure coping mentality
And how they can get to their old age
Having never achieved a single one of their dreams
And then they can become frightened and pathologicly scared of their own mortality
I think that's probably the catastrophe most people may face
Because they won't apply the evolutionary blowtorch to their own back side
