They should never have been closed.

Most never were. Only the City ones full of mass production infections. They're like Cruise Liners & Aircraft Carriers now.

I saw a stat showing cruise liners were responsible for about 1/3 or infections. Or maybe it was deaths. Pretty bad.

I am not aware of a single proven case of people catching the virus on the beach.

I reckon regional people should be allowed to exercise their advantage of regional living over the City people. Why should we be punished for a style of living that promotes infection?

Don't know about the rest of Australia but it isn't exactly beach weather here in Perth (unless you're a surfing fanatic). Smiley

The Dog and I prefer the beach in winter.

Water not too warm, much more refreshing, less crowded.

I think its a good place to start the reopening....at least the police will have better things to do with their time...than chase wankers off the beaches.

Is there something about being on a beach that assists the spread of C19 compared to a walking path near a beach which has never never been off limits?

nothing to do with flesh cods. It's about the usage. You can go out to exercise, ie. walk, you can't go out just to hang out or sunbath.

My wife went walking on the beach the other day with my oldest ... no one stopped her because she didn't stop to sunbath. Apparently there were plenty of people walking. None stopped to lounge around. Cops were happy to let them be.

Abuse access and they shut it down completely.

Yes. It does. The rules are you can walk to exercise, you can't sit.

What part of that is difficult for you?

It's the sheer idiocy of it I think.
