They're not going from level 4 to nothing.

They'll move down from 4 to 3 next week, and level 3 will remain in place for 2 weeks.

Then, Cabinet will assess whether to move down another level.

no logic to this.

the idea of "flattenning the curve" is to prevent "overwhelming the hospitals"

i'd imagine the hospitals are mainly empty.

the idea never was, never can be and never will be to eliminate the virus nationally.

so there should be easing until there is a flow of infections and then a re tightening.

otherwise you demolish your economy at a rate of 2 % of gdp per month for absolutely nothing but a "wish" which will not be fulfilled

Still - praise where praise is due - tight lockdown (no Bruces!) and then easing off as conditions permit. Looks like a ship with someone at the helm... but a PM is a mouth-piece - not a Supreme Controller... Ein Kiwiland, Ein Multi-Volk, Ein Fuhrer!

Some here seem to imagine that elected representatives are entitled to dictatorial powers - and so do many of those elected representatives.

They're gonna need a bigger boat...
