I believe that Flynn has appealed and the DOJ (Barr/Trump) is not going to contest the appeal.

The interesting thing is that nobody is trying to say that Flynn isn't guilty, it is just that it was all so unfair that he got caught.

The thorough FBI investigation concluded on Jan 4, 2017 with this. "No derogatory information of any kind linking Flynn to Russia". That should have ended the investigation right there.

The DOJ at that time concluded. "The Department does not believe there was a legitimate base to investigate and prosecute the designated National Security Advisor (Gen Flynn) for communicating with a foreign ambassador and seeking to mollify geopolitical tensions in advance of the inauguration of the next President  .........."...." Thats the essence right there. General Flynn did not commit a crime and they knew it. How did they know? Because the FBI had already tapped Flynn's phone. Quote Tucker Carlson

The whole  thing was a setup - a politically driven charade. This is why the FBI won't release details - they're guilty as hell. The Worlds foremost law enforcer is a corrupt criminal enterprise.

Does that bother you?  It should - what they can do to Flynn they can do to you! Defend yourself while they run there fake charges until you run out of money - then jail!

Thanks, dear one. Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI. He put out full statements, apologised and put himself at the mercy of the courts. He has never retracted his version of events.

What he wasn't charged with is speaking to the Russians. This charge was dropped after he cooperated with the FBI. This is the charge:

The Logan Act (1 Stat. 613, 18 U.S.C. § 953, enacted January 30, 1799) is a United States federal law that criminalizes negotiation by unauthorized American citizens with foreign governments having a dispute with the United States. The intent behind the Act is to prevent unauthorized negotiations from undermining the government's position.[2] The Act was passed following George Logan's unauthorized negotiations with France in 1798, and was signed into law by President John Adams on January 30, 1799. The Act was amended in 1994, changing the penalty for violation from "fined $5,000" to "fined under this title"; this appears to be the only amendment to the Act.[2] Violation of the Logan Act is a felony.

Flynn was not charged with this crime because he cooperated. This leaves open the possibility of future charges.
