So why did you automatically assume that the black man is a hapless victim of circumstance, lacking the intelligence and situational awareness to act in his own interest?

Exactly. They wouldn't get arrested if they didn't do the wrong thing in the first place.

It's good to see you picking sides in this debate and standing up for white cops, FD.

Those blacks ask for everything they get: dodgy video, tracksuit pants, baseball cap, fake press pass, oh - and tinted.

It appeared that way. It was a bit hard to tell because apparently CNN don't give black reporters decent quality gear, so the video was a bit dodgy, but they did say his name was Omar.

I see. Well, that's CNN's fault then, not the cops. They were just doing their job, arresting journalists not dressed properly with dodgy video, fake press passes and oh, tinted.

Is that right? I don't want to misquote you, dear.

You managed to correctly copy and paste what I posted. I'd say they were arresting everyone who didn't run away, and the "official press pass" thing was just a red herring that appealed to the public but made him look slightly loony to the police.

Also John, was the fact that Omar is black the only reason for your assumption that this was some kind of unintentional unprofessional behaviour?

The unprofessional behaviour of being arrested or lying to the police that he was a journalist?

Please explain?

The unprofessional behaviour that John felt compelled to offer racist excuses for.

Slightly loony? They arrested him. You're defending this arrest because he's tinted.

There's only one reason cops arrest journos during riots: so they don't get caught on camera.

JS didn't mention race. You said they're sloppy dressers, make dodgy videos and blow their wages on booze and broads instead of getting measured up for a nice suit.

Sure, but how many work for CNN? If you want to defend the arrest of a journalist filming cops at a riot, you're going to need to take everything back that you've ever said about Freeeeeedom.

You're right in principle, police should not arrest journos. BUT we are talking about CNN. A thoroughly disgraced "news" outlet. Never letting a crisis go to waste to push their far left race-baiting woke propaganda.

How many times have we seen CNN make up news stories - too many.

CNN journos shouldn't be regarded as such but provocateurs, causing trouble.

So this time the police were hip to their tricks and nipped them beforehand! And police do have a wide latitude when dealing in extreme events such as this.

Don't you have a life?

I'd say you're to busy making up excuses for blatant racism. Was it that his name 'Omar' that has got you triggered? Or was it just the skin colour? Not just black, but possibly muslim ... ohhh noo, quick hide

The same day, same riot, just a bit further down the road.

Quote:
CNN's Josh Campbell, who was also reporting in the area but not standing with the on-air crew, said he was also approached by police but was allowed to remain. "I identified myself … they said, 'OK, you're permitted to be in the area," said Campbell, who is white.

"I was treated much differently than [Jimenez] was."

Sure he was white. But he also dressed properly, didn't use dodgy video, and presented the proper press pass.

If all you can do is focus on somebody's colour, you do know what that makes you, right?

Same as those racist/sexist Boongs who won't let anyone climb their rock.

Do you know?
