Most everyday people when asked what gun laws we should have are surprised to find out most of those laws are already on the books. They are just rarely enforced! Bad guys don't carry guns when the penalty for just having one is rigidly enforced!

A big line of people outside a LA gun shop. I wonder how many of them realise there is a 10 day wait for them to pick it up after buying it if all goes well with required paperwork.

They will have to hope the rioters and looters don't target them for about 10 days.

Of course they could buy one on the blackmarket and avoid this 10 day wait to pick it up the politically correct LA police aren't arresting criminals at this time.

These people lining up at the gunshop might even start voting for politicians who support the 2A in that state, those who already support the 2A will already be stocked up with guns and ammo so unlikely to be in that line.

Many first time gun buyers in Mexifornia are surprised that the gun laws they supported all their adult lives hinder them. In ten days they will either have a gun or not, depends on their backgrounds. If they still think they need one, they will probably have their magic talisman to ward off evil. They are really not much good if you don't know how or when to use them!
